Just made a packet on a few christmas pc's and have thus decided to go out this weekend (at last! a weekend on the town!) So bear with me

Basic build will be a v2000b with al the cooling stuff in the bottom compartment, maybe have the res's in te top compartment, but there's goign to be a fillport and drain port for each loop.

loop1) ek 8800 full cover (88ultra) 10w ddc, pa 120.2 (this will become 2 ultras one day...)

loop2) dtek fuzion (q6600) nb/sb (bfg 680i) pa 120.3, ddc 10w

Current setup has all the above minus the sb in 1 loop with a ddc 18w and a pa120.2 in a v1000b... getting cramped, and i dont have use of any of my pci slots :(

Now, the v2000b is hopefully going to last me a fair few years, and i am going to making this build a little special, more detail to follow on this, but, i will say that i am going to be changing my current blue/black feel to blue green. This will include the uv green liquid, green bulgin switch, replacing the hdd and power led's with green ones, and replacing the led's in my fan controller with green ones (argh! soldering! this should provide a few laughs for some people) And on top of all of this, something a little special, but that is as much as i'm goign to say about that :D

Hardware:

Q6600 (currently at 3.6ghz)
BFG 680I
4x1gig crucial ballistix pc5300 c3
EVGA 8800 Ultra superclocked (currently at 720/1950/2360)
Corsaire HX620w
Hitachi 250gig
Samsung 18x dual layer

Current Loop:

EK 8800 full cover
D-tec Fuzion
EK multioption 150 res
PA 120.2 RAD
DD 680i nb block
Tygon tubing
DD fillport

Idle temp: 43°c (v hot room, goes down to 33°c when it's cooler)
load temp: 68°c
Voltage 1.425 set in bios, 1.416v in windows (load)

Migrate across, dual loop it as above, add a bunch of green as above, and mod the case side for a window and a rad grill area (or both case sides) HDD's modded into the 5.25" bays, possibly h ave some bay res's, undecided on this so far...

Needless to say, i'm going to try and make this something special, and hopefully last me quite a while, and just to tease, heres a few pic's to keep you lot interested!

A pic comparing the size of the v1000 to the v2000, the v2000 is also longer than the v1000, and will actually end up protruding from under my desk a bit!

A picture of it next to a chaire in all it's glory... damn it's mah00sive!

And a pic with all the gubbinz from the bottom gutted out, and it's still sturdy as hell!

OK, change of plan for this machine...

Having been made an offer for the ultra that was stupid to not accept, i have now sold it alond with it's waterblock. This shall be replaced with the much more friendly-on-the-wallet 88gts 512 (which should be arriving tomorrow :D)

So, as i need remove the card from my machine tonight ready for packing, i will be giving my system a full drain and be going to air for a few days/weeks (lucky i have a spare cooler here :))

So i'll get cracking on (tidying my room, as i think i may have forgotton what colour the carpet is!) and then draining and swapping stuff about.

Expect some piccies either later this evening or Friday (busy busy busy tomorrow :()

Ooh! My new chair arrived today too, so there'll be an update in the new desks and rooms Gallery at some point too :D

Watch this space!

OK, running my pc at stock at the moment without water-cooling, and on an 84gs... not the fastest of cards :( But i should be getting a new toy tomorrow ;)

Anyway, as a quick update (and a bit of a show off :D) Here are a couple of pics...

My new chair \o/

I know it's got nothing to do with the pc build, but it all adds to the effect of this room/setup

And, can anyone say dual 120.3's?

Just been messing woth positioning of these rads, and my best bet is one facing each case side to be honest.

With the psu back panels normal orientation (psu at the bottom) the fans faces downwards, but if i turn the panel around, the psu's fan will face upwards, and there is only a couple of mm clearance between the fan thnd the deviding panel, so there may be a further mod to the deviding panel, ie, a 120mm fan hole.

By the way, i'm not actually going to be using both of those Rads, one is being sent back, and replaced with my current 120.2.

More to come this weekend!

hey viper good to see you've finally got this beast going. i remember you mentioning a little while ago about doing a water cooling project.

do you mean your rads like so.

or do they not fit in there.

Depends if that is a perspective pic... as it looks like you have drawn them on top of each other, which definately wont work. If it is perspective, then yes, thats how i meant. Although it'll be a 120.2 and a 120.3, and i shall stagger them a bit, as to help with the fans interfering (sp  ) with each other, a bit like this:

Also, i already did the water cooling project, that was in a v1000, (original log: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17756349&highlight=startername_v|per ) i'm migrating the stuff over into this bigger case, changing blue to green (fluid/lights/LED's) and dual looping it. This will involve some nice mounting on rads, hdd, pumps, res's, adding a reset switch, changind the power switch for a bulgin green switch, modding my ak-03 fan controller with green led's, oh, and a lot of cable tidying :D (plus something extra, but that's top secret :p)
