Soldato
I would love to see Vale on a Duke. That would be awesome.
if stoner can tame it Rossi can for sure
the other riders that haven't been able to aren't in the same league as Rossi
Rossi in F1 would be interesting.
I dont follow bikes at all, but he has won lots of stuff from what I can gather... Perhaps he would like to see if he could do a Surtees
I never knew Rossi was that good in a car.
well yeah it took home a few races to get the Yamaha to his liking
The first time he raced on a Yamaha he won.
Still, Rossi could get on anything with 2 wheels and make it go fast.. it sure would be interesting to see.
Luca has piped up again

Goodbye Massa?
Daddys!Crash.net said:Ferrari has redoubled its efforts to convince record-breaking multiple MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi to switch from two wheels to four - with Luca di Montezemolo revealing he 'would do everything' to get the FIAT Yamaha star into a third scarlet machine in F1 2011
'The Doctor' himself might repeatedly dismiss the notion, his FIAT Yamaha team boss Davide Brivio might fear it and the chances of three-car teams in F1 2011 might be as remote as ever – but undeterred, Ferrari has sent out its boldest signal yet that it wants record-breaking multiple MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi competing in one of its scarlet cars next year.
Rumours of an eventual transition from the pinnacle of international two-wheeled racing to its four-wheeled equivalent have been rife in motorsport paddocks around the world for some time, fuelled by a number of Ferrari testing outings for the Italian in recent years.
The latest of those – around Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya aboard a two-year-old F2008 back in January – saw Rossi impressively close to barely two tenths of a second shy of the lap record around the track, set by Kimi Raikkonen, and to within a tenth of the Finn's 2008 Spanish Grand Prix pole position benchmark.
Still the insistence from the 30-year-old Urbino native is that his head will not be turned and that his immediate future lies in motorcycling and in the longer-term perhaps rallying – but equally, still the famous Prancing Horse is seemingly refusing to take 'no' for an answer...
“We want a third car and I would do everything to have Valentino,” the Scuderia's president Luca di Montezemolo is quoted as having said by Reuters. “When he wins this year's MotoGP, enough is enough – he must also win in Formula 1.”
I have to agree here...I can't see Ferrari getting rid of Massa for Rossi.
Remember reading an interview with the guy who was heading up Kawasaki's MotoGP project a couple of years ago that he reckoned Rossi would be able to win races on it...must have been great if you were a signed rider with Kwak at the time!.
As for Rossi, as mentioned i think it'll be rallying when he gives up on bikes, for one i don't think the power that be would let him get up to all his malarkey post race in F1 . Also, i think he will want a championship on another brand of bike before he retires.
Burgess took Doohan to success, so yes he has had a lot to do with Rossi's and that was one reason that Rossi stated in taking him and other crewe (from 125/250cc) with him to Yamaha.I hope he goes to Ducati tbh, but only as long as he takes Jeremy Burgess with him...i do think he is very much responsible for getting Vale to where he is today.
As for a permanent switch to F1, i'm sure the Italians/F1 fans would love it (if only to have someone with a bit of character in the pitlane! ) but times against him really, and i have no doubt that he would only want to go somewhere where he was confident he could hand everyone he races aganst their arses and was in with a championship shout.
P.S. If only they allowed wildcards in F1, he could do the rounds that didn't clash and everyone would be happy!.
If Loeb a 5 time WRC winner cannot get an FIA Super Licence there is no way Rossi would get one.
