Valkyrie - To the skies! *Sponsored*

looking forward to seeing how this progresses. The cpu block looks good on the board

Shame i won't be using the tubeless block for this one as i want to go ahead with the Modultra pump/block combo instead. Just suits the entire build so much better, aesthetics wise.

Some updated pictures, can see from the Fan picture im going to have to do something about the corner cover on the D30 Fans. I think just removing the bottom corner cover and using the anti vibration gasket would make a nice anti slip surface.

Some of the cable sleeving is done, mix of Black and Orange cables on this one.

We're just waiting on Modable.eu to come back to me with the custom gpu mount and more rad mounts so i can get it all mounted up properly. Hopefully a build video to follow and of course some awesome completed pictures :D

i have to be honest @Jay85, your build's make me what to have your baby's hahaha

this is just stunning, what the plan with the GPU, i think just plugging it in will not do the build justice

LOL  cheers dude, it's nice to be where i'm at now with all the sponsorships. Basically being able to build my dream pc every week is awesome.

So the GPU is going on a custom bracket which Modable.eu is designing right now. Not sure if he's going to sell it as an extra afterwards but it's going to be a first for me on this project. Also waiting on the other bits to arrive like the other radiator brackets and then some design work for some 3D printed parts and covers to follow.

Couple of designs im working on with fan shrouds to add to the theme and design aesthetic of the build. Also at the same time i'm designing a reservoir cover which will add more shape to the build and give it the look i'm going for!

Reservoir enclosure mod, i've added the capability to mount a short rgb strip into this to illuminate the tail.

cant wait to see it

Dump Sketchup and learn Fusion 360, that way you can make STEP files available too :P Meshes absolutely suck for machining and laser cutting.

Already on it! Had tons of issues with sketchup with more complex designs so started using Fusion lately and its truly way more amazing but way more complicated lol

Take your time and get into good habits immediately, like setting up user properties for your various common measurements (e.g. through hole sizes, clearances, etc.) and meticulously naming every sketch you make so you don't lose track. Sketches are super important foundation to get comfortable with them, always use constraints where you can and never just use arbitrary numbers.

Also I tend to create a new component for every part I design so you don't get a bunch of bodies for different things all grouped together.

It's a steep learning curve but honestly once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad at all especially with the tutorials available online. Wish i had jumped on this earlier, could be way ahead with my design work by now.

I do tend to make technical drawings first before i do any actual modelling so double checking my measurements is a must (OCD).
