This a bit out of hand. Look its valve, its a business, the simple fact they have extended the l4d deal is good of them.

Now that forum link, a public member made that thread/post not a moderator or anyone representing valve/steam.

Just be thankful you can get it for £27 normally, valve seems to think just cause I live in Ireland the game should cost me £40!

You missed the deal. You didn't take timezones into account it seems. It was extended for an extra period so you don't really have a leg to stand on, there was plenty of time and it was advertised in most places (including here!)

The deal was so successful Valve extended it a couple days. Doug emailed saying "Ends on Feb 17 (Extended)"

He had all weekend to buy the game, it wouldn't of taken more then a few minutes.

Now, its Tuesday and he's complaining about being charged full price for the game ?

... I don't understand, they've given you more then enough time.

The price has been displayed at 26.99 pretty much all day for me so i'm guessing he didn't look before he bought. Generally, when something is extended to a date it ends as soon as that date begins so where weekend deals end at 0:00 pmt on a Monday, the Left4Dead deal ended at 0:00 pmt on a Tuesday.

Valve have done nothing wrong here.

It's been 26.99 all day for me as well, I thought Steam / Valve were being awesome knocking some money off Left 4 Dead to be honest.

I normally assume all Steam deals run until Sunday night.

i had over 200hrs from this game...

i payed 22inc P&P before release... i've bought games like nfsps etc and i never had more than 20 hrs out of them... this game is priced very well compared to some other useless games.... :| 19.99 would be to cheap for this..

well if you got over 200 hours out of it for 22inc then its defiantly worth the money in your case

but for me it just seems light on content and doesn't "feel" like a full priced game

Don't forget about all the free DL content that Valve will continue to add to the game. Wouldn't be surprised if they triple the content by this time next year.

valve keep updating most of their titles like tf2.. l4d will be getting updates later on :eek:

It ended on time, like they promised. You got mixed up between GMT and whatever timezone Valve is on.
