Valve has a surprise for us..

That's actually quite a good surprise (note: I do not, nor shall I ever, own a playstation), especially since the game will be supporting Steam Cloud. I wonder if that also means if you buy the game on one platform will it be available across the rest as well much like what's happening with the Mac.

Well, its good for PS3 owners, but an irrelevance for anyone else.

makes you wonder what next from valve does it not ? , not happy with just the pc and xbox platforms they go for ps3 . what next ? games for the Wii ? , i do not plan on buying any more games that use steam

Well that's a let down. I play on PC and PS3, HL2 being my favourite game of all time. Half-Life 3/EP3 would have been the game that made me upgrade my graphics card. My PC is slowly turning into a way of playing old PC games such as HL2 and current 'Xbox 360' games such as L4D and Mass Effect. I.E games that don't come out on the PS3.

I'm wondering about the "Portal 2 will be the best console version!" comment el chubbo made.

Xbox, Wii versions? Was it just a poorly constructed nod to the PC owners?

Probably going towards the 'steam' inclusion in the PS3 version to the 360 version which doesnt yet/wont have it. What this is and if this goes beyond steam cloud (I presume saves between different ps3s (& pc?!?*)) support that he mentioned remains to be seen.

*Also steamplay, buy on pc own on mac as well, but for ps3/pc? VERY much doubt it but would be cool.

I love how militant people get about this stuff. More of the same, please!

can you blame pc users ? , it's like a kick in the balls tbh . valve are being lame ass idiots and are only bothered about making more money than the games that the fans want . would not this bring them more money if they delivered the games that people want ? , i have been a long time fan of valve's since the first halflife . but i have lost all faith in valve now

Maybe this was a diversionary tactic and the real announcement is yet to come. I can't see a big suprise being targeted to a console.

So what exactly will be Valve's big surprise? The company recently hinted that the mystery reveal wouldn't interest Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers, indicating that PC gamers will receive some sort of high-profile treat come June 14

Cheers Valve :(

Dunno why anybody would play a Valve game on a console anyway. Dull surprise, Valve stuff is terrible on consoles...the source engine looks like ass on them.
