You still can, just film it ;) Also i dont even lift at the moment so my presence will be pointless. At least you can teach people the fancy ways of oly lifting.

Doubtful on the second count, and I can always set the camera up for the first... assuming anybody is actually interested. :D

HANG CLEAN RECEIVE -> 2*JERK (3s) 60-60-60 Duh duh duh...
HANG CLEAN -> 2*JERK (3s) 60-80-80 Duh duh duh duh...
FULL CLEAN -> 2*JERK (1s) 80-80-80-90-90 Knees started going and core started wobbling.
TRICEP O'HEAD CABLE EXTENSION ss/w REVERSE DB FLYS (12s) STUFF Puuuuuuuuuuump.
TRX ROLL-OUTS TO HORIZONTAL 2*5 Ouch.

Bleurgh. Conditioning is all wrong as I haven't cleaned anything heavy for around a month (!), so was brutally fatigued.
 
Fun session with the Brohirrim (stolen from BennyC - cheers dude!) yesterday, pointing out acouple of things:

- do I even lift?
- do I even mass?

Session involved rotating between apparatus to gain some PBs, so I decided to back squat. And managed 140kg. :)

Also played with a 67.5kg log and managed a couple of 'one motions' with it. :D

Really fun to see some actual lifters from the forum and a great PB atmosphere!

One of my favourite bits from Saturday (amongst others) was being told by MoNkeE that "you are stronger than you look..." Considering I looked half the size of you guys, I am taking this a compliment. ;) :D

OVERHEAD SQUAT (5s) BAR-40-40-50-50 Getting my head (and knees) in the right place. Sort of. These just really, really hurt my palmar fascia now, though. :(
SNATCH BALANCE (5s) BAR-40-40-50-50-60(3f) Not doing anything else until this stuff works as it should. Just got tired with the 60kg load.
POWER SNATCH (3s) 60 Get myself warmed up...
HANG SNATCH (3s) 60-70-70-80(PS)-85 (BOOM! But only one rep!) Caught 60kg and 70kg fine (for the second set; 80kg and above, however, and I was powersnatching... just not in the right place in my head to do these properly. :( Still, inspired by Saturday, 85kg powersnatch goes BOOM! :D

Today just proved the point about technique: my second pull is probably fine from being worked so often, as I have an abundance of power relative to my absolute (squat) strength, but I just can't get my head around catching a big weight right down in the hole... small stuff? Fine. Big stuff? Need a more robust motor pattern. Then 100kg will go up. :eek: :mad: :cool:

Part of me wonders if this is simply an artifact of morning training, because I know I feel better in the afternoon, and the techniques feel sharper... :confused:

Will see if I can get in another session this afternoon to do some more squatting/technical work... 100kg will be mine. :mad:

My first snatch session gave me pretty horrific DOMS across the back of my shoulders & traps.

It's good fun when it all works and very frustrating when it doesn't! You really do need lots of patience, good thing MrThingy has bucket loads.

Congrats on the Powersnatch Peeeb! Merlin.

Would like to Powersnatch 60KG this year, I'm in no rush though. I have some very heavy Powershrugs to do as part of a 10 week (Coan) deadlift program, finishing at about 160KG :eek: so chances are I should be able to powersnatch with traps alone :p:D
 
You could power-snatch 60kg without any problem, I suspect, provided you get your drive-pull firing correctly.

The 50kg bar was moving very nicely with just your traps, so get to it. ;) :D
 
Aye I'd love to make it a bit more of a habbit. Maybe look in to doing some things on Saturday or something.
