You know what i would put money on a LET nova beating that VRX to 100 but i know which one i would prefer to be driving.

Umm 530 or VXR corsa, hard call to make........... :rolleyes:

Take a surf on the Corsa C owners club website and Corsa Sport and you'll find dozens of them owned by chavs.

Disclaimer : This in no way means that I am saying everyone who belongs to these websites is a Chav, just some of them. :D

There are two Corsa VXR fans in our household, they drive brilliantly, handle well and have the power to make sure its not just all for show. Not previously things I would ever say about a Corsa.

I'd buy one, mind you we're both Vauxhall fans anyway. I don't think it is fair to say that all Vxls are crap, they are getting better....as already pointed out the new Corsa already comes with an onboard fireworks display. You don't find that on many manufacturers optional extras lists.

26.3 sec for an e39 530d 0 - 100 mph

16.8 sec for the VXR Corsa.



Now put the Corsa up against something a bit smaller than the 530d such as a 330d and it drops to about 20 seconds.

Funnily enough, put Fox's petrol e39 530i "barge" up against the super hot hatch VXR and guess what? the 530i manages 0 - 100mph in 17.6 Seconds.

I don't fint the VXR that impressive, it hardly trounces the bigger heavier BMW.

So I wonder what your point is? Corsa better than a 5 Series? Erm, right. :p

and on the 530d or corsa xvr-my answer,neither you can get better cars for the money in either cases.you buy a corsa vxr cos you cant afford an astra vxr and you buy a 530d cos you cant afford a 535d,both compromise cars imho

It's worth noting that this particular time was recorded in the wet.

That isn't necessarily true, I'm sure personal preference comes into it somewhere.

Supposedly the Corsa is a better car than the Astra anyway. Plenty of people seemed to take that point of view following the VXR trackdays.
 
Oi you lot! I drive a c and I am not a chav, i shall have you know. Blooming car is the bain of my life though. :D All the more reason for getting rid of it very soon. :D

I don't see how you can say a whole range of cars are not good based on (probably) limited experience.

It's like me saying all BMW drivers are ******* and have small ***** but I'm sure thats not true ;)
