Okay, so I've waited two weeks for this sytem arrived, and was very glad when it finally did today. Everything connected as i should, all componants installed as they should (pre-built & checked), but on first boot up, I get the amazing Verifying DMI Pool Data hang problem.

Waiting on OC response before I start picking up the phone, and wondered if anyone had some advice in the meantime? I could understand if this was a few years old, but it only just got here :(

"Titan Goliath" Intel Core i7 930 2.80GHz @ 3.60GHz Quad Core DDR3 System HD 5970 OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
6GB (3x2) DDR3 Memory
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit - OEM £68.93
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM

Unplug any usb devices/flash drives and see if that works. I had that problem on a gigabyte mobo until I updated the bios

So far I've attempted the step by step strip and rebuild approach, but to no joy. The error showed every step of the way. I'm usually a rather patient person with electronics. But when over £1000 is spent, the delivery turns into a disaster and it doesn't work on arrival - I get tetchy.

This can be caused by a number of different things to be honest such as corrupt boot files, BIOS settings for HDD not correct, Boot devices not set properly in the BIOS, Corrupt BIOS, Bad connection somewhere or faulty HDD. I would wait to see what Overclockers say, but if it was my system I would check all connections as often they can work themselves loose when the system is in transit. Then perhaps reset the BIOS and load the fail safe defaults and see how it goes. That's if it was my system of course.
