vertex plus raid question.

I just bought a vertex plus SSD. Im looking to add another for raid. Does trim work for raid 0 config? And does the vertex plus do garbage collection in the raid config?

Depends on the RAID controller - Intel is releasing drivers shortly that will allow trim in RAID 0 / 1 for theirs.

Will raid 0 do garbage collection also? Im new to ssd.

I thought Garbage Collection was done by the drive, not by the SATA / RAID controller. So should happen regardless of Raid or not.

Trim on the other hand is initiated by the OS, and so far doesnt work on RAID volumes. Rumours say Intel is fixing that (presumably for only their RAID controllers...)
