Still looks crap though, why buy a convertable if you don't like wind noise or tubulance, its just a pet hate I have as it totally ruins the look of the car to have the windows up, and those awful mesh wind deflector things yuk, if your scared of ruining you fancy hair do stick to a tin top![]()
I bought an S2000 not a convertible
But this thread is about convertables and so was my opinion on them looking crap with the roof down and windows up.

Love the noise my MX5 makes when I nail it round to the redline, shame it's a bit too muted to be a "proper" sports car noise! New MX5parts exhaust ought to sort that without sounding like a Chav Corsa
And yes, windows up (or just the passenger one) at higher speeds greatly reduces wind buffeting. I'm sure more modern verts have better aerodynamics etc to aid this though![]()

My windows are see through, you can hardly notice them.
Had to drive down the A4074 to Oxford on Tues. Topless, 21c through the countryside. Awesome![]()
I had the roof down on the Z4M today on the way home. An hour and a half of glorious sunshine and 22 degrees. Lovely.
Managed to hit 8000rpm through the underpass in Croydon too which always sounds better with the roof down and put a smile on my face that even with the rest of the crappy London traffic couldn't wipe off.

Did you not have an Audi TT? You replaced it with a Boxster?
