I've just finished putting my rig together and thought I'd have a stab at 4.0Ghz, this was on a P55-UD5 with XMS3 Ram. Idles at around 25oC and tops out at 60oC after 8hrs of hyperPi. I see people running much higher voltages than me, am I right in thinking that aslong as it's stable then a lower voltage is better? I have enabled load line calibration to compensate for vDroop.

What is your load vcore?

I'm guessing that its dropping down to a multi when idle but power options in windows are not allowing it to show in CPU-Z, I get the same (shows 4.4ghz @ 1.080v idle :D)

Sorry that is load, it was running hyperPi at 32M decimal places. It drops the multi to around 9x I think giving me 1800Mhz and a vcore of 1.136.

Then you have a very, very nice chip!

I would still like to see it do a full 8 hours on Prime though, more stressful test than Hyperpi
