£99 installation cost and £36.99 a month.

Although you can go for the cheaper vhome at 24.99 if you only need 15down 2 up. Also some areas have installation costs covered etc guess it depends where you are.

BT was £24.99 a month I believe, but seeing as I need the improved upload speeds £13 extra is easily worth it.

Which part of Kent do you live in? I thought about using Vfast but im suitable happy with our 8MB connection.

edit : Less latency than my adsl line and uploads on youtube are super fast.

Just glad you came in showing a mates speedtest result and the low latency :cool:

definitely worth what they charge it's been at 8.5-10 upload all day and 20-24 download as well (various servers all in that ball park)

latency is usually shown as 15ms or lower which is amazing.

Good to know they can expand the speeds further if and when that's needed and let's be honest 8-10 upload competes with anything I'd get from BT in the future. So I'll be happy with my current speeds for the foreseeable future.

I won't be recommending it to anyone I talk to though don't want them taking my bandwidth

let them stick with BT

Unlimited but they may throttle your speed if you're using torrents/newsgroups etc.

I'll be able to give a better answer on possible speed reductions after a months usage and see if stays the same...

Bumping an old thread.

Thinking of moving to Vfast for my parents home, anyone on here provide a long term view? I used satellite broadband before and was very dissapointed in the service.

This is nothing like satellite.

I'm served from one of the main masts in Dunkirk (Swale) and I get pings as low as 10ms in some games, downloads up to the 24Mbps connection with few issues.

Downtime over the last three years has been 4 or 5 times due to some hardware failures or the odd rat chewing through the fibre backhaul

.

Price is a little high but you don't need a landline obviously (VoIP can be used without any issues).

If you are looking for any other info, send me an email via trust. I can refer you but I don't recall there being any bonus for either party currently.

Another bump for a very old thread.
Anyone got any views on vfast these days.
I've heard someone say that there are often significant slow downs to speed (1-2 mbps) at peak hours? Anyone else experience these issues?
We are currently on adsl with 6 mbps down, and 0.4 mpbs up. There must be a better option than this!
