Video of the 911 with the PSE :)

It's from the strip, the 1 foot of distance between pre-stage and final beam. So if you shallow stage (not dipping far past the pre-beam) you effectively get a free foot of acceleration before the timing beam is triggered. Typically between .03-.04 of a second. it's an American thing, they all do it apart from Edmunds who do both...it's a headline thing. Thats why UK times, when the journos drive and drag the cars as hard as their American counterparts get higher times.

I'm not disputing times, I'm just mentioning American 0-60 times are usually lower due to rollout.

Is that PDK or manual?

Not got a clue sorry mate, but I know the PDK cars are mental quick to 60 as the transmission just makes it too easy, I believe 3.8's has been recorded for them but again no doubt using the 1ft rollout method you mention.

Here is a PDK:-

0-100mph on the PDK is mind boggling quick for a sub 400BHP car

Thats a European review, so am guessing no rollout and they achieved a good half second quicker than Porsche claim and the 0-100mph is very quick.
