Viera to Real

It isnt the tabloids that first reported the story. It was first released by Red Issue yesterday morning. They heard of it from 3 different sources and the main one actally being an Arsenal source. In fact the story was first brought up in January by another one of their sources but the price being closer to £40mil.

With Arsenals new stadium £100m and 1 year behind the original estimates and Viera sayin he will sign for a year but not actually doing so they may sell seeing as he can walk in 12months time. He would have come 2 years ago if arsenal would have accepted a bid for him.

They need the stadium to secure more revenue for the future and that far outweighs the need to keep Viera in the short term. Every player has their price and The prospect of having £22mil or letting him go for free would be very tempting whether it be from Man Utd or anyone else.
 
david dein has said he will let his star players go for a fraction of the amount to europe rather than letting them go to man utd. we wont sell him to them, they have no get out clauses so they simply wont go

vieira has said he doesnt want to go to man utd, he said it would be out of order for him to do that after all arsenal have done for him.

he will sign, im very confident of it.

Fact of the matter is they can't afford to let him go for a fraction of the price to someone in europe. Peter Ridsdale said exactly the same thing last year about Rio. Can see him doing the exact same thing as Campbell did to Spurs. After our initial approach two years ago, where his agent actually met with Utd's once which annoyed Wenger, he has said he would sign a contact. But he hasnt done so and time is fast running out.

Even if he doesnt come to us he will prob leave.
 
i dont think he will. arsenal know they can get good money for him in europe so why sell him to man utd?

he will sign, im very sure of it. he is waiting right to the end so he can the max money he can out of us, just like keane did to u lot when he signed.

also he is on holiday so he cant sign right now, i think he returns in july so im sure he will sign then
 
Not a chance of Viera going to united.
Slim chance of ronalddinho, djemba djemba is apperently on his way (well whoopy do) and Escude which i really couldnt care less about.
Still no sign of another striker, decent keeper or ball playing center mid player.
 
Utd are favourites for Ronaldinho as Real want him to stay at PSG for a year and then go nxt which he desperately doesnt want to do. Real also want to pay in installments again which PSG dont like the idea of. they have money troubles too and need the cash ASAP.

Tim Howard is signin as soon as he get back from the confederations and sorts a few things out with his old club. Everything is sorted for his move 99.9%. Very good keeper and only 24.

Djemba Djemba is close to signing, decent play who could do very well but jury is still obviously out on him.

Bellion met with Fergie when he was onl holiday. He has signed and is waiting to the start of July to make official. Young striker with potential but haven't seen much of him.

So that makes 2 signings definate and 2 very likely. And we have plenty more to spend. as we had the £15 we wer going to spend on Ronaldinho anyway plus the beckham money. bellion is basically free, Tim Howard is £2m, djemba isnt much either but a lot of his fee deends on appearances.

Its widely known that Arsenal have about £10m to spend. Your abotuto spend £7m on Kewell (quite good buy). And you need a keeper and a centre back with the remaning without increasing the wage budget much.

Yeah maybe Vieira will sign i'm just saying i'd start worrying. Keane never wanted to leave that and was only on 25K or something a week and know he deserved closer to 50K and knew Utd could afford it and wer just being tight. Vieira wants 70-80K and Arsenal would struggle to afford it, especally after allowing Henry a increase and Pires wanting the same too and with the cockups going on with the stadium project.

Overall the thing is we have maybe four players coming in and still have the beckham money to spend.
 
arsenal have more than 10mill to spend, im pretty sure of it

The kewell deal might be 4mill + a player but im not sure yet.

We may get mexes on the cheap from auxerre as well and even if we dont get a new keeper it isnt a big deal coz taylor is a very good goalkeeper.

Vieira does want more but we will be getting rid of a few players so that will free up some money. Even our chairman who always bad mouths our players who demand a lot said he will make an exception for vieira.
 
yeah u gotta offload people like Kanu but if you ahve to sell 2 or maybe another and get rid of another player in return for Kewell that just weakens the squad mroe and one or two injuries would be bad, make it 4 or 5 like we got at the start of the season and it'd be very bad.

£10mil is a very realistic figure and quoted from many sources and officials talking. Thing is tryin to find a buyer for people like Kanu.
