Vietnam - what a country!

I love vietnam!

One of the benefits of moving to Asia was having all of these 'bucket list' locations so close to my home.

Ho Chi Minh and Nha Trang have been achieved so far.

I am planning one of my best friend's stag do in September (he is still based in London).....and Vietnam is on my list of potential destinations, along with Thailand and Singapore.

Tenderly?!

God damn you autocorrect!

Such a cheap place once you get there. Very nice hotels for £40-50 a night, food and beers are dirt cheap too. I advise anyone to go there if you're into that sort of holiday.

Just out side ho chi minh City are the Cu Chi tunnels where some 3000 VC lived, examlpes off booby traps ( plus punji stake pits ) and a firing range. Which is great fun as I gots my sweaty hands on M30, M16 and iconic AK47 !
A $ a round apx !

Nice photos. I was in Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) recently and it was stunning especially the Mekong Delta. It is easy to get to Cambodia from Vietnam too if you want to see Angkor Wat.

Again another good suggestion as Angkor Wat is a must see.
You do get taken to the temple at stupid O'clock in the morning to watch sunrise behind the temples.
Personnally I would give it a miss as it is packed full of people and most of the time the sunrise is an anti climax !

Really inspiring photos. I went myself back in 2013 and it was absolutely manic!

Unfortunately I only had a Nikon J1 which turned out to be a pretty terrible camera :(

Very nice mate and awesome presentation on the blog.

I was going to go to Vietnam last Christmas as part of my South East Asia tour, but opted for Thailand, Laos and Cambodia in the end.

Definitely want to go to Vietnam at some point tho.

Thanks for the inspiration.

I took my Canon EOS 7D. Sigma 17-70, 420EX MkII speedlite with diffuser. A SONY NEX 5R, gorillapod that's it. No need for big zoom lens as most of the photos are street, landscape photography.
I would have taken a wide angle if I had one.

Not much kit needed really.
