Views on the Armor Jr. (vc3000bws)

Decent case - you're definitely not paying for the look of the case though....

And on that note; I'll go to bed - and make sure everything is securely locked.

Ive just ordered a Thermaltake armour to replace my Tsunami Dream, i need more space and want to put more fans in it :p

I hope its not a rubbish case like everyone says it is...

I have too much in my Tsunami and there is no where to hide cables so the cooling is just rubbish.

My friends TT Armour is huge and you could fit a horse inside the thing :p

EDIT : Im the sort of person who prefers a large spacious case over a Nice well made , smart looking beauty :)

TakeN, I'm personally waiting until I can get my hands on the New Armour - with 'optimized' cooling, i.e. it has a 25cm fan slapped on the side of it.

Unfortunately OCUK have no plans to stock it as of yet. :(

I wouldnt bother with a rubbish 25cm fan, they push very little air for the size and make a racket.

They should push slightly more air than a 120mm fan yet be dead silent, then I would buy them but they completely miss the point.

In 5 years time when the fan fails (its Thermaltake so yes) you won't be able to replace it and have a dead fan on the side of the case.

I guess I could do without it - and probably save myself in the cash area whilst I'm at it. Although I do still imagine it would be better for cooling, if sorted right.

Harsh words there. If I was you, I'd watch your S80's back... ;)

I owned a Xaser III SKULL so I have a right to bash Thermaltake when I like.

But on a serious note what do you do when your side panel stops working, fans are only good for so many 1000 hours.

If I buy any case, I expect it to be still serving me in 5 years, or I sell it pretty quickly.

Cases should not have anything to break bar the power switch. The rest should be extrememly easy to replace.

Fair point in regards to having anything for 5 years and the fact that it should be easily fixable/replaced.

However, like most things these days - things are built to break down after a certain amount of time. Companies can't have us having products which work longer than they should do - because there's always a new and "better" model out. It exists in the car industry in particular.

Almost a rant there ^

Cough, Lian Li PC7, 6 years and going strong. ;)

Have you thrown it off the roof yet?

Have you taken the sledgehammer to it?

We can safeguard products in order to prolong their usage, of course - but have you really tested it?

I'm not so sure. ;)

Dropped my Cheiffy dragon down the stairs twice, and it survived both times with minor scratches taking a chunk out the wall.

Also stood on the PC7 I used to have that had a disaster mod done to it to get to the attic, and I am not skinny. ;)

So yes, I test my products usually!
