Hi there

After long discussions with Viewsonic regarding their position in the UK and how they are un-competitive on certain product they have decided to take notice and have issued OcUK with price protection and new prices allowing us to offer some fantastic deals and as always OcUK is first!!

You can now get the VX2025 for just £299.95 +VAT from OcUK which for a monitor so stylish with fantastic performance is a great price. :)

Goto the OcUK 20"+ section and scroll to the bottom to buy this great LCD monitor. :D

Nice one Gibbo, £60 off is fantastic.

Will there be similar price reductions for any of the other monitors in the viewsonic range, especially the VA2012W which is now priced the same as the VX2025?

Either way you've sold me.

Ah what the hell, looked good before - now at that price it has to be done.

Order placed...............Cheers Gibbo! :D

Well I was really keen on the NEC 20.1" WS but, I am absolutely sure I would be annoyed with the glossy screen. Apart from that it sounds very nice.

I have been waiting about 3 months for the "perfect" widescreen to come along but, I'm afraid it just isn't going to happen. There are always one or two drawbacks to each model. This particular one is attractive, uses a good all around panel, has decent specs and is reasonably priced.

Hey wait, sounds perfect! :)

I'm getting close to buying a 20" WS LCD to replace my much loved but very, very long-in-the-tooth Sony CRT.

One question I have re the VX2025wm is, will it stretch 4:3 aspect ratio games and DVDs to fill the screen or will it show the image in the correct aspect ratio?

Based on some comments i read on a US forum, my understanding is that it will stretch them. Was talking to Baddass about this the other day, he was saying there may be options to force 1:1 scaling through your gfx card drivers, at least through nVidia cards. Not sure about Ati.

I'm not so bothered myself as i have a 17" viewsonic already, so i'll just use Ultramon to send stuff to the other monitor if it's in a 5:4 aspect ratio.

can certainly do it through NVidia drivers, not tried it on ATI, but you may need a WS format monitor connected before you can even check.....

how does this monitor compare to the NEC 20.1" WS?:)

Same panel as the Belinea afaik, colours are ok not great. Screen door effect has made users on Widescreen gaming Forum nauseous, limited OSD and tweakability.

Seems like an ok monitor, but certainly not a top-ranker, i'd say the Phillips was better from what i've seen.
