Vikings Valhalla (Netflix)

Just finished it myself and thought it was pretty good. Growing in stride, can't wait for the next season.

Pretty good ep but seemed like a very amateur attack with no tension...

Everyone dumb, Viking smart.

seems to be a long running theme now.
it's like humans vs cavemen

6 Episodes into S3 - really enjoying it, shame its coming to an end. I appreciate a lot of the true story isnt fully known.

Spoiler

As a general reader of viking history (wikipedia and impact on Britain stuff) - funny to think a lot of what ifs on King **** and if he had survived longer.

Really enjoyed Vikings, but just couldn't get into this for some reason. Will revisit it at a later date.

It's a little slower than Vikings in terms of Character development, especially towards the end.

Still one of the best shows on Netflix though, and gutted it's ended... Again

Thought it was good. The final episode was a bit rushed. However overall.enjoyed it. Really.bummed they left it like that. Disappointing.

No idea what Jeb Stuart was thinking.

Weird I watched the first ep or 2 and completely forgot about the series...

The production values and colour grading seem really good compared to a lot of crap in the last few years

I don't like this series at all. It's awful imho.
Got to agree there. Just pushed through to the end of Episode 4 and it's all over the place. Literally. They are trying to pack a story at 5 or 6 loactions into roughly 40 minutes of episode. Time is obviously passing too otherwise the dreaded fast travel mechanic is alive and kicking. I mean one minute Leif is in Turkey (Constantinople), next we see him he's in Greece building a church, then I get the vibe tonight he suddenly rocks up in Greenland! Must be getting good bonus miles on the old Viking Airlines. Freydis is annoying as ever, grinning like an idiot even when
half her colony end up murdered[/spoiler/].
Harald for all his posturing about making his fortune doesn't want to leave Turkey and seems to be heading for a gelding messing around with the King's/Emperor's wife [spoiler/]

IMHO they would have been better abstracting Leif's story and focusing on that.

Pushed through to the end and that final episode... WTH?

Harald doing a good impression of a medieval McGyver.

Magic carpet travel galore, journeys that previously took weeks, months or even a year faster than flying SAS.

Political shifting and numerous assassinations all disposed of in short order.

Various story threads left hanging in mid air.

At a minimum it needs another mini series or TV movie (as was done with The Last Kingdom) to tidy up the Leif/Freydis/Stig tails and resolve the situation in Greenland.
