And I just wiped out £100 buying parts for elite series 2 pads :cry: bought some awesome stuff to make some super funky pads though.
 
Capacitor back on that PS5, but nothing. Not even picking it up on the TV at all now. Must have bridged something somewhere.

This is the way did you do a quick probe on hdmi port in diode mode to just check everything looks right? On the back side there is a diode and some other bits if I'm not mistaken. Pics front and back of port.. come one man show us what we are working with here. :D have you also checked the filters etc?

Also just check you are getting the 5v pin 19!

I'll get some pics tonight, although I'm tempted to start again now I've found my decent solder paste and flux. The other stuff I was using wasn't the best.

yea they mostly have the old 10k pots in them with square top! halls are readily available here.Its the screw in tops from the elites that are more difficult to come by

Just go very hot and keep it moving!! 460 or so on ps5 boards with no tip on. Maximum power my friend!!

I found halls for the elite series 2 but they are 13 quid a pair. I have bought a few sets though!

@Vince, after doing such a great job on my gamecube. I have some more jobs for you. My PS3 has got the dreaded 3 beeps and flashing red button. I've done a re-paste which lasted about a month and now its back. I also have an original DS with a dodgey direction button. Its hit or miss going right. Let me know if its OK to send them to you. No rush. Thanks fella.

Ok gents - 2 white xbox pads - You sent them to me Via Evri... I have no idea whos they are! Identify yourself you animal :cry: :p

Edit: It's these 2 here... which are clearly not as cool as my yellow one.

I want to say it was me but alas it wasn't!

My son has a v2 elite pad that's not working properly. From memory its the shoulder pads and maybe stick drift. Is this something you could look at?
 
I have identified the pads, they took me off guard as I was also expecting a broken oled switch with them.
