Violent protests London

Then please enlighten me by pointing to a similar situation in the UK, where the officers stopping the car have no reason whasoever to suspect a gun is in the car.

I'll think you'll find that US police do assume there is a possible weapon in the car when they stop vehicles, in this case the suspect was on probation for firing a weapon at a car load of people.

Dowie what on earth are you going on about :p

Back on topic. Bored unemployed with not any real prospects? Might as well have some stress relief fighting coppers.
One of their mates is dead and the police are directly involved. Nothing like a bit of civil unrest to show greif too.

you really think they care about the bloke who died? They are just using it as an excuse to smash the place up

That's the thing. If they have been involved in gun crime or associated with it. They are going to get stopped a lot more than average Joe will and the cops will approach as if there's a weapon in the car. It's perfectly justified.

Obviously too early for any conclusive talk re these incidents yet but the way the reaction of certain community groups to these sorts of incidents both in the UK, USA and elsewhere I would say is more a reflection of their prejudices and failures as groups then that of law enforcement.

For example they too often have to rely on ridiculously bad supposed martyrs .... Mark Duggan (a man who had picked up a gun from a man later convicted for its supply to him with Duggan having been previously arrested for attempted murder) Azelle Rodney (a man shot in a car with two guns found with ammunition with then after police reacted to intelligence that the occupants of the car were on the way to rob some Columbian drug dealers), in the USA 'hands up don't shoot' Michael Brown who was portrayed as a victim of police brutality but who was actually a violent thug who assaulted and robbed a convenience store owner before assaulting a police officer sat in his car who stopped him and who then tried to rush the officer when challenged resulting in him being shot

The USA police do have a problem with their aggressive, militarised response to incidents (which is partially accounted for by the armed aggressive society they police) but incidents like a white woman being shot by a black officer and the fact that blacks are proportionally more likely to be shot if stopped by a black police officer should put to rest the ridiculous 'Black lives matter' movement.

Like a lot of issues in society today I believe the route cause of these issues is Marxist agitation with the black lives matter movement in the USA being backed up by Marxist ideology and with the Marxist Socialist workers party being behind a lot of the agitation in the UK where there are alleged racial issues in incidents

Finally a well researched post worth quoting, and from you too, thanks :)

I see this whole UK BLM movement as nothing more than attention seeking by people who probably don't have anything better to do with their time than be offended on behalf of others. There's a term for this, can't remember what it is, but I prefer the word "losers".

Thanks,

for clarity I added my personal views about the political reasons for this issue after you had commented on the start of my post so its only fair to point that out to others should you not agree with that but. I could be accused of 'tilting at windmills' with my views there but it is my personal belief.

Don't bring logic into this conversation, this is not the time and place

Last time we locked horns I was literally lying in bed bored and had nothing better to do, hence me being an irritating ****. You've come to this thread with a very well researched post and good opinion which I agree with, so thank you for that :)

I apologise for being "that guy" last time, it was out of boredom and nothing else.

Next time - 5 knuckle shuffle yourself in to oblivion?

Ahem. I'll have you know I hang out in the square mile, next to Moorgate station.

That said, you're committed! Loads of pubs nearby for a quick pint.

no apology needed its GD.... and you need to come here with a sense of humour a bit of 'armour' and hopefully at least a half convincing argument!
