Violent shaking while braking

You can still get massive discount as a cash/counter customer at all motor factors. "Trade prices" are probably only 10% less than what you would pay over the counter.
For reference the RRP stated on the parts invoice for the driveshaft was something around £116 quid.
This is the price that the garage charges the customer.

Can you do me special price for lots of shiny bits? :D

Oh, I did the 60 - 20 braking thing until I could feel the brakes fading, and then drove normally for a bit to cool them off, then I did it a few more times, then drove normally again to cool them off.

I think it made some difference.

As it was the dead of night I did some testing, there are no worrying vibrations at all when slowing from 70 or 80 to a standstill, there were before. However when slowing from around 100 to a standstill, the car is stable down to about 70, then whole car shakes violently when decelerating through 70 to 40 or so. I don't really understand this...

I did that once on an old ford escort, brake disc sheared off!
I recommend you don't try straightening the discs in that fashion. ;)

I do stick to 70 (or under) 99% of the time. :)

105 is flat out, in fact, it isn't even meant to go that fast. :p

Wierd then as I've managed to un-warped juddering disks.

There is no way you will warp a disk with normal road usage

Apparently if you leave the anti rust grease on the new discs it can warp the discs also if you leave your foot on the brake after hard braking you leave tiny layer of pad on the disc....I haven't experienced any of this though the layer of pad on the disc is what I had been told in my apprentice days.
