Affected me in the north east too. Was off this morning then it was most sites wont load for a hour or two then a bit more normal but its gone back to sites not loading much for the past hour.

Hope they fix it. Wonder if we get a free day compo out of it.

Any refund just gets factored in to the yearly price increase.

DNS won't help, this is VM's side. Most sites work, some don't, others are half and half. If it was DNS you'd be getting the same issue on all sies. I'm using Google's DNS for ref. Just tether your phone, least you'll be online on at least 1 machine lol.

It’s a routing issue so changing DNS won’t help. I’ve not looked into it but either the internet doesn’t know how to get to VM ASNs, or VM doesn’t know how to get to the internet.

Looking at the replay for the fail over and rerouting during the 130am outage explains this pretty well.
