Virgin Media..who is having problem with consoles?

Youtube has nothing to do with it

Youtube has always been poor on many ISPs, not just Virgin.

But until say about 3-4 months agi..its was absolutly flying on my line, thats the only reason im noting a severe drop in speed...that or YT/ Google have changed something?

Call me crazy, but can they just not turn off the P2P adjustments they have made, revert back to the way it was till they sort it?......

........or is that some kinda crazy commen sence thing?

Because that would admit they got it wrong! And they wouldn't want to do that.

I wouldnt care what they called it lol
If they could get this sorted in the next two weeks id be happy to go and book the 50mb line, but right now im just looking at alternatives.

Plus on a side note think they are heavily over charging me for everything.

Well I've passed last nights details on to Virgin; they've asked me to do the same tonight. I can't play with you Konvict ;) damn you and your host stealing!

To late for them with me now, ive just lost a couple hrs of uploading time for graphics works to the printers server, cause its had randomly disconnected then reconnected a few times.

Calling now for the to come take everything out, Tv BB, Phone, and looking at my options.

if you are a superhub user there is a new firmware, and believe it or not now youtube works perfect for me where as before it used to freeze, and as for xbox my son say's so far it's ok and no disconnects.

Firmware should be V5.5.2R26, the problem one is V5.5.2R25, reboot superhub for 30secs to get new firmware

Unless you can get BT infinity in your area, I wouldn't say that's a very wise move tbh.

No doubt the drop in connection has ****ed you off, but there are a lot of ways to upload that have resume support, maybe that will be a safer option.

After all, it could well be any number of things, not just the ISP. You just simply won't hear from the many people who aren't having problems with their service. I don't go on forums to tell people that I'm still receiving water, electricity & gas and that my 5 year old washing machine still runs fine.

Well it does seem odd as tonight ive been able to play BF:BC2 solid for jsut over an hour with no interuptions.

Yes, checked into my options...everyother BB service is hopeless.

I cant say if its been "fixed"..can only go on the fact i was able to play BC2 for game after game without trouble...after posting that last night went on just to see ..again..logged in quick...got into a game and stayed for a couple of rounds.

Mines unusable lag 5pm til about 12-1am xbox live anyway, and has been like this for months.Speedtest etc etc still says it's 50 down through all this lag but what I have noticed is that at exactly 5pm my upload speed changes to 1450 from 1600 ish right on cue about 12-1am it goes back to 1600 and the xbox live lag is gone.
