ati x300 pci-e i think, need to dble check.

i think you just have a software/driver problem. don't go upgrading your hardware just for vista. i noticed your post above about your cpu. that's fine also..... :) the lowest spec ati card that works with vista is a 9500. i'm sure your x300 should cope with aero too. :D

Thanks for the info.

I have RC1 installed. My 3Dmark2001 score has dropped from 28000 to 18000. Is this normal?

EDIT: Everyone probably knows this but CA Antivirus is free for 12 months for Vista

I using this antvirus software, only problem I am have with it keeps get blocked by windows defender when loading with vista.

I have to unblock it with a few clicks of the mouse, defender is showing that it will allowing ithe program to run

Doom 3

Anyone else having problems with Doom 3? It installs and loads fine but when you go into the game, the textures all seem really low resolution and the lighting is all screwed up. I'm using the ATI RC1 drivers on RC2.

anyone know what happens when the 30 day activation time period ends? I have 2 days left to activate so maybe I should be preparing to reinstall RC2 for another 30day trial.

Any ideas if you can install RC2 from a 2nd hard drive as nobody in the office has a DVD burrner here. Boss asked me to install it on my 2nd hard drive and do some testing. How do I go about getting it to boot from the 2nd hard drive and installing, is it even possible. Or will they have to get me a dvd burner to do it.

Run the setup from within your existing windows and set up a dual boot, the only way without a burner.
