VLC new version released

Well i just click video>snapshot, but its not that reliable.
fraps is great, i use it because you can set it to take screenshots at 1 second (or any other specified) intervals, then just hit F10 and sit back as it does all the work for you. :D

Much better, the changes have tweaked it quite a bit. Im looking forward to ply my DVD's on there a bit more now. Also i have noticed that my picture quality for quite a lot of my DVD's have improved with the latest VLC version.

As good as VLC is for all my media playing, it is annoying when you skip ahead and sometimes you have to wait 10 or so seconds for the video to catch up/stop being blurry. I see that isn't "fixed" (if it's even fixable).

Really? i thought ffdshow and a good codec like purevideo was meant to be the best but if vlc can do it as good as then id find it easier just having an all in one solution, so are there any settings i need to play with to get the best out of it?
