VLC media player - the cross-platform media player and streaming server

VLC media player is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, ...) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols. It can also be used as a server to stream in unicast or multicast in IPv4 or IPv6 on a high-bandwidth network.

Changes between 0.9.1 and 0.9.2

* Restored the old behavior of --sout-keep. It is now de-activated by default.
* Skins2 interface repaired on Windows.
* Multiple bugfixes.

Ya got it, tested the betas all month too.

Windows users would have been on 8.X anyhow.

Weird, as far as I know it went from 0.86i to 0.92, were there lots of fixes in between that I missed lol?

AFAIK Windows didn't have any builds inbetween publically anyhow.

Ah fair, damn its changed a lot since 0.86i. What's this thing about accessing the internet during setup? :confused:

I might roll back to a previous version..

These are like the two big releases i think, although I'm not sure where the version numbers get plucked from

Not sure, it has an Update Feature, prob Auto.

Turned that off and selected "manual" when looking for album art. I trust it like I do Winamp but still turn off network features.

It was just the first comment post setup that confused me "VLC's team doesn't like it when an unauthorized installation goes online" or words to that effect. Sounded like it was registering itself. :confused:

They skipped 0.9.0 because of lots of bugs found at the last minute.

A problem I have noticed straight away is that it doesn't remember or keep the EQ enabled you have to enable it every time you open a new file.

Any idea how to stop the volume triangle thingy appearing all the time? It keeps popping up every few seconds and is getting annoying.
