VM Superhub Firmware

I just unplugged my "surfboard" and plugged my WAN cable from my existing router into the supercraphub.

The supercarphub has 192.168.0.1 as address
My Netgear WGR614 V5 wifi router uses 192.168.1.1 as address.

Didn't change anything else - all works OK (ex supercraphub wifi of course!)

Means I have 2 wifi "clouds" but the supercraphub's is so slight I never use it.

Any update on if there is firmware yet that disables the router part and just makes the superhub acts as a modem? I'm about to get one to upgrade my 20 Mb connection to 30 Mb for free, and I want to use my Linksys e3000 with DD-WRT for control of my network and I would rather not have the trouble of a router behind a router.

Also, if I can't disable the router part of the device, any tips on things that I should enable/disable on the superhub to get it to play nicely with my e3000 behind it.

have a look through this forum and check the virgin forum, there is a way to disable it, its just not "official" as far as im aware, and involves a bit of tinerking to setup.

Superhub has been fine for me (apart from the wireless). I use a Linksys Tomato ~WRT54GL for my wireless. Laptop does not require anything more. Wireless is disabled on the superhub.

Same here. After almost daily crashes with R26 firmware I gave up.

Netgear + Virgin Media = PITA

No beta yet though and once they decide if they want to release it to the handful of BETA testers out there they might scrap it again then start R30 at Alpha/lab testing then move that to BETA etc.

It's the same old story really and has been going on for as long as the hub has existed!

I meant update as in news update opposed to a phyiscal update. I can see the confusion though.. :)

The R29 has the same problems as R26  so R30 next.
I wish VM would stop saying that there is a beta and we will have it when it's a FULL BETA wtf

R30 updated to hub last week. Didn't know till last night.

I've seen the new option to use the hub in "Modem only" mode but not tried it yet.

Anyone noticed any performance differences?

You could put a 10 quid no name router from china on your network and get a better connection with wireless and more stable than the not so super hub :p

Get it turned on and get your old router out.

had same probs dropping out for iphone 4s contacted virgin they changed some of the settings on the hub and prob was rectified myt be worth while foning them :)
