Absolut is good for it's price, especially when you occasionally can get a 70cl bottle for like £13 in ASDA.

Vodka is really just used as alcohol. You find a non alcoholic drink and add vodka to it. It kills the vodka taste and makes the nice non alcoholic drink alcoholic

If it's a cheap and nasty vodka then I'd agree it is best as a mixer but it's a waste with a nice vodka and strange as it may seem some people do like the varying tastes.

under 50 quid!! no way would i spend 50 quid plus on vodka, get to the nearest corner shop and buy any of the following, wyborowa, sobieski, zubrowka, they are not expensive normally, but maybe in the corner shop will cost 15 quid per bottle
and please drink as mentioned earlier in this thread with juice or pop on the side, if you buy zubrowka, make it apple juice, it compliments it

I tried a £50 bottle of Vodka bought in Russia, it tasted so much smoother than the normal supermarket Vodka but it still wasn't that enjoyable neat.

I also once got serious evils for putting coke in a glass of £120 a bottle Whisky

My personal favourite is Diplomat, which I always bring a couple of bottles back when ever I'm in Russia. I'm sure there are stockists within the UK that will sell it to you.

Another good one is "Pinky", its slightly flavoured, but very clean and crisp and goes really well 50/50 with tonic water if you want something slightly *easier* to drink.

just bought a bottle of zubrowka can anyone reccomend anyway to serve it?- keep in freezer or fridge?..

Put it in the freezer for an hour or so, then serve with apple juice.

Love Zubrowka, such a smooth taste.

I've just been up to look and I've only got a quarter of a bottle of Zubrowka left. I'll have to get on to the Poles at my mum's works to get me some more.
