VOoDOo antec skeleton mod

lol ok i will order the sleeving and the power supply on the 8th along with some uv paint and spray. im gonna have to wait til next pay to get all of my components :( sorry guys but i will get some pics nex week! hey sildeh my wife told me to tell you thanks for the tip, now she has someone to cuddle with at night!!! lol

well MDPC-X thought that i was crazy when i called and asked them to teleport the sleeves to my home, MDPC-X told me i would have to wait for the shipping truck just like everyone else. So if i have to wait so do you buggers! in the mean time i painted the top fan with a very light coat of the blue, i kinda hate myself for it but i will show you tommorow seeing as Wal-Mart wont send me batteries for my camera via teleportation either, they think im crazy too!! WTF!!!

sorry no progress guys, i keep messing up the paint. on a lighter note the sleeving and power supply should be here next week, i think that will be a lttle harder for me to mess up so until then pray to the paint gods for me will ya!?!?

If it's that you're still getting the rattle snake effect i'd put money on it being grease polution of the paint surface (usually from hands. Once in the paint it's very hard to get rid of. Only way i've found is to sand away as much as pos then wash the piece in water with detergant, rinse well then re seal with primer and build up gradually.

hopefully not that cos it's a real pain in the bum.

Lol :D

Did you speak to Nils? He's a funny guy :D

yea nice and funny, and has great sleeving. but he doesnt like my pics too well.

I really like the blue coloured accents contrasting with the gloss black, real nice gear going into this too, subbed :).

well thank you

yep i was wondering why my bum hurt so much, i think i have it now. thanks to sildeh i found the perfect sleeving. i just dont know how long it takes to to get here, im running out of nails to bite.......wait....im bleeding now. having some crazy ideas about getting the mesh kit and running the 24 pin through te front of it, and space the wires evenly accross. maybe make a 24 pin bracket with passtroughs for the wire, making those wires longer and connecting them in thier propper spots. so basically instead of the two 12 pin rows the back row will have its regular pins then 6 holes on each side and 12 pins in the front.

i have a cooler master gemini 2 s right now that fits fine but i think i wat a zalman circular one with the blue led. but which one fits??? the 9500 or can i fit the 9900 with a little cutting??? and and replacing the front fan with a blue led type??? i cant find any 92mm fans with the same design do i just have to cut one up or what???

Decided to go with the Zalman 9900ALED i know your all thinking is way too big, but i know it will fit, maybe by a milimeter but it will fit

anywho here are some new hardware pics going into the build

And a pic of final sanding for the cowling

pretty sure the 9900 wont fit without cutting, but the 9500 will fit just fine. Theres 156 mm of clearance under the cowling if you cut all the way upto the bottom of the actual big boy fan.

Love to see some pictures of that WC set up if VooDoo doesn't mind a slight highjack of his thread

I dont mind being hi-jacked for a wc skeleton.
@ G-Dubs- I was thinking of making the top come off in a tooless entry fashion and just placing the mobo (all together) in first then the frame around

Cracking idea, As you've probably already worked out it only needs the 4 screws at the bases of the legs removing and the whole frame lifts off

This is actually how \i take mine apart when I want to have a good go at the insides

Keep up the good work Mate

Always real nice to get goodies in the post.

You might have ordered it yoursekf but it still feels like a mini xmas when you rip into it.

Or is that just me????

Maybe that's just me!

Ok it's just me isn't it????

Nope, not just you :D

VOoDOo, how good are the MDPC tools? I know their braiding is seriously top notch, was just wondering if the tools are the same as having used a few sunbeam ones and tbf I don't like them, and I never could get away with the staple method ^^.
