VOoDOo antec skeleton mod

I am the worst about the packages, I'm surprised the drawing is still intact. But i think the tools are good, i did a couple of practice crimps came out nice, they are adjustable and I think nils sets up the crimper for you and he even sends some crimps he did. But here is a little progress for ya

As you requested more pics. I tried a little sleeving along with finishing the fan cowling paint. Didnt start the psu yet because i think i have a wild idea, but i have to fabricate it. so for now enjoy my pics even though they have horrible lighting.

Starting sleeve

I think i got it pain in the bum to remove the fan though.

the paint came out good you cant see the variations in the black around the tape like last time but i still need to spruce up the edges a litle bit before i post any pics. maybe monday ill get to it. big day on sunday all you dads out there, have fun!

P.S. i know that it was all your prayers that made the paint gods happy so thank you, if any of you did any sacreligious sacrifices thank you as well.

Looking a lot better matey. Did you manage to get rid of all the Alligator skin problem?

I have one of those pin kits for PSUs etc, some of the tools work better than others I think. Always fancied having a go at the PSU bit have visions of forgetting where all the wires go.

yes i did get that aligator wresteled. i think the psu is gonna go fine but i want to heatshrink all he wires white and then put the sleeving on over that, also want to get the mesh kit because i wan to feed the 24 pin psu wires through the front before i connect the wires to the connector

Sounds a great concept, but can't quite visualise how it will work as the tray containing the PSU slides in and out of the frame. By that I mean you won't be able to do that as the frame will be linked to it by the PSU matrix, which in turn you won't be able to unplug as the mesh kit limits access.

I'm right at the beginning of trying to get my head round this so do please forgive my inability to grasp the concept. Having seen what you've done so far i'm sure it's all figured out, I think i'm just being a bit of a dullard.

yea i was wondering weather to post that idea or not because i wasnt sure if people would understand, but this case wont aken apart very much once it is together because it will be the htpc. ill try to get a few pics of my idea up asap

Tried to do some sleeving on the psu today, spent about two hours trying and didnt manage to get one pin removed from the pci cord. I am going to put neon blue heatshrink over the cables to make the sleeving look brighter......i will let the pictures speak for themselves

Sucessfully voided my warranty

and sucessfully brom my pin remover, i couldnt get those things out not even with staples, i think that these Corsair connectors are longer and have a more recessed inside

That is really weird - I used the MDPC tool with a HX750 which must be the exact same connectors and didn't have any problems at all - certainly didn't manage to break the tool

well guys it feels like i officially have arthritis, but i have some progress for ya!!!!!

firstsleevefinal2.jpg

sorry bout the lighting, its late and im too tired to go get new bateries!

firstsleevefinal.jpg

hope you like it, cause' i sure do!

P.S. I finally got the pins out by using staples then jamming what was left of my mdpc tool behind them!

looking really good so far, nice work :)

I love the blue colour scheme I will be watching to see the result

thank you both

im going to finish the psu this weekend, and should get the rest of the parts next week and install everything, but will have a lot of minor mods to deal with after that like getting the last row of the 24 pin connector to loop from the bottom of the case over the front button/connection panel to the mobo. also the blu-ray drive will get a new front plate with the voodoo logo and leds. and many leds to replace.

heres a few more G-Dubs, not perfect, (couple of heatshrinks were not cut the same length(had my wife cutting them) and was in a rush so i didnt notice) yes it is very addicting i still have to do the modular wires.....needless to say the wife has been written up for preformance. So next week i should get mobo, cpu, vga, memory and more sleeving to at least show you what it migh look like in the case. but still far from done guys.

Fianlly got all of the included wires sleeved just need to get some more sleeve to get the modular wires.
