I think this promotion is a great idea, though to be able to take advantage you really need alerts. I only knew it had started because a friend skyped me joking that OCUK were selling cards for £10,000. Guess we are in a tech forum - surprised there are not more threads about which alert system is best.

I'm very impressed with mine so far, performance at 1440p is stellar. Super low temps and barely makes a sound.

Control and SOTR are the only games I've played so far (only really got it setup last night) and they both run great even with RT turned on.
 
Question,

How long do you have to complete your purchase?
Let's say you add the card to your basket, is it "reserved"? if so for how long? or does it go to the first ones to complete the purchase?

Also lets say your payment get declined or something like that, do you have a 2nd chance to pay or what?

I'm not sure but I noticed the gpu was listed at 10k and I was able to add it to my basket before I seen the MM post.

No, you have to complete very very quickly ; the many many comments from people saying cards in the checkout where out of stock when the finished payment (and ofc payment not taken)

Not sure how our check out works but I suspect it is down to how fast you check out.
Maybe adding funds to a paypal account in advance and then paying with paypal would prevent any issues of been declined.
 
Well, looks like I've got no chance of that with my post count :D

I confess lately I've been the first person to come on here and moan about the prices in the shop or about GPU prices in general.

But for whatever it's worth - I'm super impressed by the effort being made here by the OCUK staff to get cards to into the hands of the right people at a decent price!

The lion share of my PC related purchases since I was old enough to do so have been here, that will continue for a very long time!

Hope everyone on here who needs a card gets one and all goes smoothly!
 
Right guys, We've just caught someone abusing the system and sticking it on the Bay for a silly profit! That individual will be losing his MM account and will be recieving a hefty ban!

Will you be doing a 3060ti or 3070 drop in MM? I don't like AMD drivers. I'd rather a Nvidia card.

I can't even see how you would catch someone doing that? I mean unless they were ridiculously stupid and put that they got it off ocuk or a screenshot of the order. Ridiculous.
