I still can't get my head around why people are moaning over this ...... it's a good thing and it's working !! (so far )

I don't understand it either.

If you don't qualify for the MM access nothing has changed, yes it is sad but nothing has changed.

If you are a Bot user/Scalper on the other hand there is plenty to moan about, but should we care?

Disappointed is fine and natural, entitlement is another beast altogether, and I'm sorry to say people's posts don't generally come across as disappointed :(
The thing is, this blunder will massively damage OcUK's rep for months. Personally i'll get over it pretty quick coz i'm thick skinned. But there will be a hellish amount of salty Karens who won't let it go. Who will probably post it all over social media if it isn't already. It's gonna suck for Overclockers as much as it will for the customers

Apologies again to those genuine customers caught up with this evening's issues. As I implied my post earlier I knew that there was a possibility of genuine customers being affected but it was obvious that the vast majority of orders were coming from autobuy bots based on the speed at which they were coming in.

We could be greedy and ship the orders, after all they all paid full price for the cards but we know that;
a) we'd be fueling the miner/scalper market
b) pretty much all of the stockpiled cards which we plan to use for these forum drops would be gone.
and
c) we'd end up with even more back order queues to deal with.

Therefore, no matter how annoying or painful it might be for the few genuine people involved, for the greater good we have to cancel all of the orders.
Please, bear in mind that it's going to take about 25 man hours of manual, monotonous work to process all of the cancellations, so it's far from the 'path of least resistance' for the company, but it feels like the only sincerely fair solution for our customer base as a whole.

Still sounding a little bitter there, especially with your first and last lines. I'd quit now before you get accused of harping on about it too much to get your post count up :D

I'd hang and ban this guy in that order, seems like a future trouble-maker for the forum :D

How will it damage their rep? Genuinely intrigued as to why you think that it will?

Oh wait... only a salty Karen would think that way.
