*** VR Deals Thread ***

A couple of friends have Quest 2s since I showed mine to them.
Got golf to play together. See that Pistol Whip is on sale on Steam. If I bought the Steam version (for Linked/Airplay) could I play with native Quest 2 users. Am assuming graphics better for a decent PC too?

Are you talking about Pistol Whip, 'cause that's single player only.

Walkabout Mini Golf is cross-play between all platforms - Quest, Native Rift, and Steam VR (And mobile phone soon as well). Graphically there's no real difference between the versions, and doesn't need to be. It's not intended to have amazing graphics, just fun, challenging social play.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice VR Edition is only £6.24 (75% off) on steam until July The 8th.

The reviews on this seem a bit mixed. Some people seem to love it in VR, others claim that you can't play it properly with VR controllers and need to be seated using mouse and keyboard. I'm well into the freedom element of using the Quest 2 standing and wireless for VR, so that doesn't sound good to me. Can anyone here advise whether they have played it successfully with Oculus Quest controllers, or did you need to be seated at your PC?

It's a seated experience not a roomscale tracked VR game, it's best played with an Xbox, Playstation controller.

I am not sure how old those reviews are but I am playing just fine with the quest controllers and the game looks stunning. Second best looking vr game after Half Life alyx imo.

Quest controllers ?
i had to use my Xbox controller

So that's two votes for seated and one for standing with Quest controllers. Still a mixed picture! :D

THanks guys, it does look great, I've just never been into fighting games, could nevre master multibutton combo things, probably too old !

But I do have a Hotas so I've went with the other recommendation of Star Wars Squadron. For some reason I had assumed it was multi-player only, but I see there is single player support.
