VR Headset bought and returned but not refunded because money charged back on my card

how do you know it was / was not refunded to his card ?
if its on his bank statement with his bank, then yes, otherwise its on his amazon account under gift vouchers or something ?

If you have changed cards, no. A merchant can credit an account, they can only debit with valid card details.

It's like a bank account, anyone can pay in with just an account number and sort code, but there are restrictions on withdrawing.
