VRAM Usage in Titanfall

Quite surprised the game is capped at 60 fps still but it doesn't spoil the gameplay at all.

Yip, but if you monitor refresh rate can be overclocked from 60 say to 85 like mine the game will run at that speed.

I bring this up because during our team's research session last night, we found an older reddit thread in /r/titanfall that complained of a 60FPS lock. It seems that it's locked to the refresh rate of the monitor, at least from my research.

^^ Weird, as my monitor is a 120hz but still locked to 60Hz. Like I said though, I am not fussed and it plays nicely and not noticing any input lag like I have in other games.

Make sure windows Control panel/Advanced settings is set to 120Hz also check vsync is set as off in Nvidia control panel and off in game settings. See if that makes a difference.

My thoughts as well :)
I wasted £44 on Titanfall, played for 3 hours and uninstalled.

Paid £27 and 36 hours in so far ;) You won't scratch the surface of the movement system in 3 hours, let alone get an idea of how the game plays. Best multiplayer PC fps in quite a while btw - after years of CoD and BF iterations it's nice to have something a bit speedy that needs reactions, aiming and movement skills!

I don't have 30+ hours to waste on a game on the bases it *might* become better. If i game doesn't capture me within the first 3-5 hours then i'm out.

I don't dispute the movement, aiming etc is better...if you think that, have another read of my first post in this thread

My problem with the game was the Titans, and me not liking them. The whole game revolves around those, so for me it's a fail :)
As for understanding how the game plays in 3 hours, depends how fast a learner you are ;)

(I also don't buy games from key sites, so £44 :))

The only time VRAM being full is an issue is when it starts impacting on performance, you'll get a massive reduction in performance when your computer starts to transfer data to and from system memory.

Try running 4-6 instances of Unigine Heaven to see what I mean... the whole system will become unresponsive and frame-rate will tank when local memory is absolutely exhausted, which is different to what a lot of games do when they simply fill local memory with data which may or may not be needed at some time or another.

Been playing Titanfall all day and decided to look at the usage I was getting. Sits at 60 fps with full settings but check out the VRAM usage

3580mb at 1080P is a lot. What usage do you get in this and what GPU are you using?

If you using a pair of 3GB cards in SLI your actually only using 1.8GB.
