Vulcan Flyover

Awesome, and insider info apparently back in about 30 mins despite not being on the list.

I really need some bigger lenses but they're so expensive.

Completly forgot about this. Was on call and been dealing with p1 all morning. Although i had to drive back from somehere and caught it flying over as i was stopped sat in my car in chepsow south wales.

Wonderful

Never seen one of these in flight and heard about this flyover coming over Gravesend then near my house. So took a ride out onto the marshes and got these standing at Shornemead Fort, right on the seawall - it came almost directly overhead at probably less than 1000ft :)

Sorry for the blurriness, fumbled a bit with the manual focus.

Goodbye, XH558 :(

As this thread is here, I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this photo?

It's a scan of a slide, taken from the roof of my house in West London possibly around the early 90's.

Just interested in what the occasion for such a formation was, if any? Any info on it, if anyone knows, would be great.

I was very lucky today as I caught her twice - once at RAF Waddington, then later on at Newark Air Museum. Didn't take many photo's as I wanted to enjoy seeing her fly, likely for the last time.

Newark:

The last from Newark seems apt as she flew into the sunset...

Something a little eerie about that photo its got a feel of a totally different era to it.

Saw her today over Old Sarum. Nice to see the big girl off :)

Supposedly got 2 extra flights planned as they haven't completely annoyed the nations authorities by clogging the roads on all the flyover areas :D

I work at old sarum :(

not at weekends though :(

We drove up to Figsbury Ring just off the A30 overlooking the airfield. She was supposed to go to our north but swang south and then straight up over the airfield dipping the wings before disappearing northward.

Not a very good photo, like I say positioned badly so got it all wrong..

Loving the pics, makes me wish I'd gotten out to see her last flight!
All I'll say is that they normally park it in the Hangar after flight if it's not due out over the next couple of days. It's still parked outside. Granted they may take it back inside in the morning but we'll see.

They tried their hardest, roads around Doncaster airport were mental despite the warnings. I dread going to work if I'm working on its last flight.

It was nice to see its last flyby near Cosford, we have a model flying club less than 3 miles north of the airfield so get to watch many nice planes but it just blasted by this time. Shame

Earlier in the year it was doing a flyby but spent 5 minutes doing its routine in front of us with most of the member hoping it was going to pass over our heads, still a noise to be remembered. Seen it a few time at the Goodwood festival when you can be almost level with it up the hill and will be missed.

One flew right over the house in Bedminster, Bristol today, shouted loudly to my housemate, we were actually watching star wars in the living room at the time hehe!
