w00t - Lazy chair has arrived!

I had that exact same chair and it was extremely comfortable, I also had the same height problem.

Unfortunatly it was not built to last and the legs kept ripping out of the base (the metal they slide in to is quite weak).

I miss that chair :(

Inspired by the Charles Eames chair by the looks of it and a fraction of the price of one at £180. Nice buy :)

I'm going to get an Eames soon, they rock :D

Can you tell us if this chair tilts backwards on a spring in addition to the recline actions? I.e. can you rock back in the chair whilst not using the recline, like in a bog standard computer chair?

Does anyone here own a La-Z-Boy (as seen on Friends)?

I got a Parker Knoll recliner chair off freecycle. Needs to be recovered but the workings all work nicely. Have it positioned infront of my stereo system for some easy listening. It's SO comfy.

Lmao, i seriously used to have bricks under mine, my wheels decided they wanted to just fall off, so i had to use bricks, then i got a new chair! split the bloody leather... im looking at getting a little sofa when my room is finished... plasma tv, laptop, ps2 n xbox, long desk which will be custom made and then get a lil sofa, jobs a gudun..

Heh, I just moved one of our lounge chairs from the living room to my room and i think its the same make of chair, it looks very much like yours but only not as soft :P think it was £100 new. I don't use the foot stool either as I too use the sub! I got round the height issue by lowering my desk! perfect :)

I have to say, thats quite a nice lookign setup for a student! I'm a student and i thought i was doing pretty well with one widescreen tft and just another CRT to go with it :P (no digi cam though so cant post a pic :p)

I don't think there will be enough strength in the wood to hold those casters. It may work for a month or two but it won't last.

Basically you need to visit your local Black Smith.
That's the last thing I wanted to resort to, surely there must be another way!?

Unfortunatly it was not built to last and the legs kept ripping out of the base (the metal they slide in to is quite weak).

The metal base is hollow, personally I would have put a block of wood in there and used some kind of thread lock!

You can't rock on it, it just reclines to your position.

One of the great things about this chair is that when you lean back it adjusts to your weight and it's really great for getting into a comfy position :)

What do you think OP ?
I disagree, it's been great for me so far :)

On Sunday, I spent the day in and I spent about 11 hours sitting in it. Chillax'ed

Any other ideas on this mod?
