Walk to work (two hours) worth it? (lose weight and exercise)

I cycle to work, its around 2-3 miles. On Wednesdays i get the bus in and jog home, do it in around 30 mins.

Its great, saves me £60 a month on bus fare and keeps me fit into the bargin.

I'm thinking of cycling to work, its only 2.5 miles away, so i'm thinking it wouldn't ever take me longer than 25 minutes at a good pace. Could leave the car at home and save on car parking too as I could lock my bike up at work.

Don't think I'd cycle in winter though. I'd only do it in the Summer, the only thing that puts me off is the journey home after a day at work lol, dunno if I could be bothered the ride home! But that's just me being mega lazy, if I get into a routine i'd be able to do it no doubt!

9 takes me 30/35mins... so 2.5 miles wont take you long at all :p

and i LOVE cycling home

today was brilliant, lovely sunny day... nice relaxing cycle home :)

Yup had a nice run home, lovely weather, great to see the plants coming back into life. Nice route home along a river.

I'd love to cycle to work and back, but since i work as a sales rep, I need a car to visit customers. I couldn't leave the car at work as we have no showers there and can't turn up at customers stinking of sweat.
