Was Mowbray for or against usb-c connectors?watching the BBC highlights. So much more class in the commentary. Guy Mowbray I think. He tramples all over that ITV muppet.
how did that end up in here? FFS. classic...
I've been looking into USB C wall plug outlets and if you search for Knightsbridge USB-C they offer a fast charge version to speed up charing.
It won't be the quickest as those Anker or Aukey specific fast chargers you can buy but if you want to avoid adapters and plug heads you can get the Knightsbirdge USB C

Just a word of warning, they are priced around £35 per unit so not cheap as conventional USB sockets but they don't offer fast charge capabilities. And also you may need deeper back boxes as have more to house and therefore need more space when recessed.
I've got one in my study, need to install another in my hall way but I'm trying to think which wall outlets in my house I tend to need to charge my devices.
Nothingcan a phone be damaged if its not the matched up rating, as there is different spec'd chargers for different phones so e.g. what happens if you use say 60w charger on a 40w charge rated phone?

No, and this is the thing. Chargers are no longer dumb pipes that force juice down a hole. This is why it doesn't make sense to make them part of your "core infrastructure" as the standards will change and evolve. Unless of course you aren't bothered by quicker charging or you won't be charging laptops via them.I guess all current chargers on market use same voltage?
The "fast charge" one posted above is 20w per port if both in use, or slightly higher if just the fast charge port is used. Read the reviews and you'll see a lot of complaints that it barely charges the most popular devices at the stated speed. Avoid. Junk. E-waste.Whats the most powerful (watts) wall power socket to date?
