Just about sums it up for me. It was OK but not a patch on the original classics. The gnomes were a bit annoying and I thought the scenes with Feather McGraw were the best.It was alright. The joy from W&G is basically the audience sympathising and routing for Gromit. There was plenty of Gromit action which was great. The gnomes were a mixed bag as they were cool when they were in ‘creepy mode’ but insufferable otherwise.
Feather’s McGraw is a one note joke already spent, which worked well in the Wrong Trousers but couldn’t prop up a film length feature IMO.
There was a little bit of ‘growth’ in the commentary re: relying on technology but they message was a little mixed in the end. I though that A Matter of Loaf and Death was better in that regard with the romantic interests adding something fresh, especially for Gromit.
A Close Shave remains my fav.
100% thought it was brilliant. Story was much more "acceptable" for younger ones compared to A Close Shave which is a bit scary tbh. Wrong trousers is good; a grand day out is brilliant and an easy watch given run time is so low.I was exhausted from the day and having hosted my family. However, I stayed awake and watched it. I thought it was great fun for everyone watching.
Watched, was hot.Hot. Will watch.
) so we were on the edge with the dead eyes and movement of the evil Norbots, but we made it through without any undue tears.
