**WANT 8GB 2400MHz FOR AS LITTLE AS £59.99 Inc. VAT? - THEN CHECK THIS THREAD OUT!!** (MV-3V4G3D/US)

Gibbo,

I'd imagine OCuk is getting a fair amount of custom from other countries in the EU for this particular product. It's virtually non-existent outside of America, and possibly Asia.

Very tempted by 2 sets of tese but fromall the testing I have seen it wont make enough difference to justify buying them on a phenom 2 based rig.

People need to learn to read between the lines if only to maintain high standards of trading and purchasing. Afterall, saviours and their worshippers have their private club meetings elsewhere every weekend but shorely not on OcUK esteemed forum:

1. “Gibbo - Overclocking Features (Not Guaranteed)”, but then, “This memory is simply amazing for the money it is simply unbeatable as your [sic: “you’re” - smart ass Ed] effectively getting memory capable of 2400MHz+ for a little more than you'd pay for an everyday 8GB 1600MHz kit.”

2. “mjones1 - Nice thread about them on XS:http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...for-SFF- builds “

3. “littlepuppy - http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/m...z_kit_review/7”.
Refferred review opined that the 8GB kit costs £40 and is merely a so-so memory.

4. “DennisMenace - Either that, or Gibbo was sent a better crate of whiskey. ”

5. “Gibbo - I was not reviewing the product though. ”

6. “Gibbo - In order to show our thanks just to yourself we'd be willing to sell upto 2 kits to just yourself at £39.99 Inc. VAT.” Buy one get one free? Ja…

…… and last but not least …….

7. “Clairvoyant - Hmm surprised no one that bought them on the first has posted results yet. ”

Perhaps Gibbo/OcUK ought to offer outright refunds to liars, cheats, opportunistic memory testers, honest incompetences, genuine under-overclockers and genuinely nonsensical overclocking memorisers to overcome the weight of conflicting evidence plying on top of this product. Or sell it at £40 with no guarantees other than Samsung’s product specs. [MP accented in Zer Teutons - Get back into your teepee ..] Speculative value and valuation belong, perhaps, to the commodities exchanges/markets unless mesmerised human behaviours are commodities too. Have ordered a speculative set and will report back on the luck of the draw if nothing else. Now, should the second 8GB set be free-ish, the/one’s luck might change - dramatically - how politically quaint.

^^ - I would have ordered from OCUK but price went up to £71.99 for a week or so before come back down again. I have some on the way from the U.S. but if you take a look in the OCUK Memory sub-forum you will see that others have achieved the "claimed" overclock levels!

Oh and nowhere in the overclock.net review was there any mention of overclocking.... bad review me thinks.

Oh and btw those hyperlinks need fixing!

Is Quad channel better then triple, didnt realise that was possible.

Im wondering how much difference 2400mhz makes to performance for myself. CPuz reads 600mhz cas 10 for me at present.

I believe it mostly helps things like photoshop editing to shift large amounts of memory all at once, is it along the lines of 5 or 10% help to normal windows operations because of other wait states in a normal cpu task

I think it would be a bit hot when running at 2400MHz. wish they could just put on some "clothes" just those normal heatspreader would do.

Hello
I have a question about the memory
TODAY I bought them with the motherboard Asus SABERTOOTH 990FX (AMD cpu 1090T)
and wonder how best to set the memory
Can someone give any tips?

I am finding the lack of posted ''reviews'' or additional posts showing overclocking capabilities a little disheartening.

How come there are so very few who purchased posting their findings on here to verify the overclock-ability of these?

Will there be a test on the Asus P8Z77-I deluxe at all once it comes out?

I am thinking of getting a pair instead of removing heatsinks from my Corsair Vengeance C9 1600. Would these be an upgrade?

look in the memory section, plenty of posts showing settings and oc with these samsung ram, they dont run hot anyway

if your running a z68 dont expect to run them at 2400mhz but 2133mhz should be reachable

I am planning on an Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe, but they have not yet released the Mhz speeds for the RAM yet (or at least I havent seen any indication of RAM speeds), so I am not sure if I will be able to fully utilize 2400mhz as of yet. 2133mhz does sound attractive and a massive speed increase if only the ASUS can accommodate such speeds.

answer is yes, they will be prettymuch similar to sandybridge/z68

the memory scales in selection from 1333mhz 1600mhz 1800mhz 1866mhz 2133mhz 2400mhz

you just select which speed you want aslong as your memory can do that speed which the samsung can and save/exit,you can manually set ram timings and ram voltage to get the ram stable

new improved memory controllers built into the cpu similar to those used on sb-e chips will run memory at 2400mhz more easily than the ones on x68/2500k/2600k/2700k chips
