so far seeing here the unlock voltage cards are Powercolor PCS+ 290/290x, Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Vapor-X and a questionable MSI Radeon R9 290/290X Gaming Edition.. any others?

Oh, I didn't know 780s were voltage locked. :)

That's a shame. :/

They aren't.

been looking at the Asus Radeon R9 290 DirectCU II OC. it seems the bios is better optimized? and im guessing it's voltage unlocked because it states it comes with gpu tweaker?

has ocuk ran out of the Amd radeon Gold Reward?

also does a ref 290/290x cards overclock higher/better than a non ref card? i know about the heat/noise

well I've called the retail and told them about i get random freezes, at stock and white pixels (only sometimes). they said once they receive it they'll test it and if they see it doing the same thing they'll replace it, if not they won't replace it. the person was trying to blame my PSU. i know 100% it's nothing to do with that. has my 6990 works on it perfectly

i fear now when they receive it and test it, they'll make some stupid reason up and say it's working and blame my pc.

one other thing why does the 200 series have vdrop?
