yeah sure that would help but as it stands the coolermaster cosmos is my way to go at the moment, solid steel case, sound proofed, water cool support, ability to use 5. bays for gup quieting on hard drives, or dampening on the 3. drives

and its easy to throw in a radiator on the top

... Im practically sold on that lol. but yeah - I want the quietest case possible >.<

I was thinking of getting an x48 mobo because it uses watercooling on that but er - 1 pci card slot = ghey

This is my Akasa Zen with the side panel off becasue I am about to fit my Tuniq Tower.

The fans in it are very quiet (2x120mm), only audiable if you put your ear by the case.

Plus it's solid steel, and is only £30!

A tray is handy if you chop and change hardware a lot and nice for cleaning out dust without having to remove the board and so on + routing cables behind and getting to tricky to place leads such as the 4pin 12v which is nigh on impossible to get in if you have a tuniq or similar installed.
I'd read a few more before taking the plunge on the cosmos it also has negative airflow according to some reviews.
what i would do is bungee mod the hdd in the cage with all the hdd caddies out and get a fan on there.Nearly bought one of these myself just want to see more user reviews don't really like site reviews.

I was looking at the gup cases for the hard drives (I'll have 2 500gb's), or are they worthless?

if it would help the harddisks I'd do that (although no idea how) but dont want to be adding to the noise in the case.... is it a difficult process?

as much as possible, cpu, vga, chipsets (at a later time if a compatible block comes for the mobo I get). Im not getting them because of performance Im getting them because they are quieter than fans.

so why would you watercool the chipset? chipset coolers are passive anyway.

no x48 (not out yet) - dont mind the x38 stamp, its an old demo of the mobo, initially the x38 was going to have a watercool setup but they pushed it back for x48

is it good to have the radiator on the top? I thought it was best to have it on the bottom.... (not sure about this but...) can you put the radiator on the bottom right of the case? I know there is an intake fan there but if you remove that, cut a hole for the 2 extra fans for the radiator you could have it on pull then? and I dunno have another radiator on top (on pull)? and a fan at the back to extract.... I dunno Im still a nub at watercooling.... there just seems to be a lot of space in there.

I have this case but it's currently empty. The side panels are rather thick and have sound-deadening material in them. In other words, not the best for cutting.

However the top has a fan and hole already cut. This can be enlarged to fit your radiator and then there's a plastic shroud that covers it all for neatness. The shrouds designed in such a way to exhaust the hot air towards the back.

I can't wait to have a proper play with the case this weekend - my Thermochill arrived yesterday

I really dont know about watercooling, but is 1 radiator enough for a system or do I need 2? I was hoping to have only 1 extraction fan and then 3 fans on each radiator... dunno if Im dreaming

Ahhh the bottom (said the bishop to the actress, but I digress). There is no padding on the bottom and better still, the aluminium handles support the bottom of the case off the floor allowing air to circulate.

I won't really be doing a lot of modding I suppose, but I can stick some pictures up when I get to fitting the radiator.

Regarding the number of radiators, the answer is depends on what you're cooling. I'm aiming for silence (hence the choice of case) and so will be w/c the CPU and GFX. To do this I understand I'll need a big quality radiator so got a 120.3 Thermochill which should be ample for my needs. You could use a 120.2 and a 120.1 or whatever but this case has room for the biggest rad so why not.
