wanting to buy the quietest case >.<

hehe yeah thats what I was thinking, you can cut away

ok so what I was thinking was cut circle A out and the bottom of a to put a rad there which will suck air in

Im guessing that circle b is a pump so move that up to help make room for the rad

possibly put it at circle c, there is room there for 2 or more I think (remember Im a total noob at this so Im just guessing lol)

then have the top radiator suck air in too to create some pressure in the middle of the case and suck any hot air out of the back fan

would appreciate a small review, let us know how silent and how the build goes ;)

Personaly I reckon watercoolings great but in todays real life cases its not needed, as someone said earlier the mobo is passive cooled, the cpu even a mightly Q6600 can be cooled with a very silent 120mm fan that wont be hearable.... the graphics can be passive cooled with HR heatsinks even the mightly 8800 GTX can be cooled passive ( a complete silent 120mm fan can be used for additional cooling) if needed.

tbh watercooling proberly is overall more silent and better in long run.... but both ways are pretty good:)

yeah but I like the look of watercooling, and I hate how fans gather dust - looking at my current pc case or should I say mould case fans...... poor care, yes, but then I wont have so much hassle cleaning a watercooled setup, other than changing the water ever how long? year? I dunno never seen one let alone cleaned one lol

I agree, unless you are really set on water cooling, I wound't bother.

Just get a quiet PSU (Zalman or Corsair are good for noise), passive graphics cooling, decent CPU cooler (Something like an Arctic Freezer), and a HDD silencer/new HDD depending on whjat you already have and you'll be set. Far cheaper and less hassle than watercooling and if you put it all in a quiet case like the Cosmos you'll be laughing :)

thanks for the heads up on the psu :) I dont know about passive cooling on the gpu's as they will be sli eventually so Im guessing it will generate a lot of heat than normal

Im going to get a hdd siliencer, I was looking at the gup japan ones as they take up the 5.25 bays (Im getting 2) so I'll have enough room for that and 2 opticals. that would mean I can take out the whole hard disk tray :) put maybe a pump or 2 there :) with a radiator below them

Am considering the japanese gups myself, the one big issue ive had with hdd silencers are hdd temps.... my seagates hit 50-60c easily however seagates run pretty hot and I had no cooling over it.

Am hoping my next build the japanese super silent drives keep my hdds noise free and complete passive.

Ive had the scythe hdd silencers and yeah there amazing cut out about 70-80% noise cant even hear the access.... but my seagates went to 60c+ and I knew that was tad too high really. Am hoping the japanese ones with copper and better designs + with samsungs they should be better temps but may add those coolers on em just in case :)

If u do get em and your case give us a mini review if you can am sure we would all be greatful.

yeah I'll definately do that for you :) owe you oc it at the very least.

was your gup box hot or was that just the hdd's themselves? Im thinking on if I can fit a waterblock on them? if not it will just be a fan :p

well the seagate 500giggers ran around 33-35c on themselves with no cooling, inside the scythe silent box it hit 55c easily, and 60c max but I noticed hdd errors afterwards so took the drives out.

But wow they were so silent and lovely and unhearable, the hdd whine really is where it kills it for me but I think those gup japanese silent boxes look a lot better :)
