Wardogs

I am recon level 9 from spotting alone. Anything to avoid using the pea shooter. Will try the Mosin at level 10.

I need a friend to show me what the f... i am doing with all this minecraft building malarky. :D
You can't do an awful lot until you reach rank 8 in support, which is when you unlock the tier 3 hammer. At that point, the building options open up a lot eg. mortar pits, talon AA installations, 4 x tall Hesko blocks. Remember that when you hold right click to bring up the build menu you can cycle through the additional tabs by pressing the F key. A lot of players early on don't realise that.

If I find myself on a team that's playing in an unco-ordinated fashion, sometimes I'll just buy a Ural truck, load it up with 2 pallets of ammo and drive off to an out of the way location ( and sometimes just out of the CZ ) to solo build a FOB / mortar station. Can do something similar with the Talon AA battery ... get on to a building and block all the entrances with double thickness Hesko blocks ( takes lots of C4 to break through that ).

It's annoying how one squad can waste it for everyone, we blue where 78/2/5 last night and folk stopped playing and all just sat on mortars. I tried to build the drill and had to run the materials myself only to be killed in base and the mortar bros didn't bother to revive me

I also finally unlocked the sks which is much better for range now everyone has better armour:)
To play devil's advocate, it can be easy to get "locked" in to mortaring .... the "shell cam" and noise of the mortar round can really dampen down the noise of what's going on around you. Which is why I wish there was a global team VOIP or something similar to raise awareness across all the squads.

No but we are trying to get it populated, problem is it wont start without 63 and people just leave.
It would be a travesty to pay for a server and not be able to use it for that reason. Hopefully they allow for lower numbers to activate a match, but appreciate the experience may not work as good if the squad sizes are too low. In the long run, I think community servers will be where most players want to play, providing they're curated properly.

Thanks! Very helpful. I now need to figure out how the hell to get to support level 8. I can't remember but suspect I am <3.

Grab the best hammer you can from the vendor and join the rest of your team in developing a FOB. In your backpack, take the bare minimum for ammo etc and fill the rest of the slots with building supplies. Once you reach the base, access the FOB terminal and right click/hold the supplies in your inventory to drop them off ... you get support XP every time you top up the base with any type of supplies eg. building, ammo, fuel, mechanical parts. If you have a bit more cash to spare, you can grab a Ural truck ( or Kodiak ), buy some crates / pallets and drop them off at the base. The Ural can carry 2 pallets, Kodiak just one. You then "unload" the pallets into the FOB by holding down the "F" key. Driving the supplies to the FOB will net you a combination of driving and support XP.

Otherwise, once in the base, it's just a case of playing Bob the Builder getting hesko block walls set up ASAP. Be careful not to hit other players with your hammer ... it can and will kill them in 2-3 hits if they are wearing T1 armour or less.

Went on the FOG server last night but no one was playing. What time you guys playing?
See above. Sparky commented that they didn't have enough players on the server to initiate a match, so they presumably teamed up on one of the official servers. I popped in yesterday, too, but the server count was at 0/100.

Thank you, Sir! I have c.150k i think so will spend a bit of money and time messing around with it later. Do some runs in the Ural truck and maybe get back in the helicopter. Quite enjoyed that the other day.

If you are good at piloting then you can airdrop crates/pallets to the FOB for support & piloting XP. Personally, I'll stick to driving :D

This game just cracks me up.

Joined a game where an Eastern European chap was basically ferrying troops from the base to the front line via helicopter.

He proceeded to rally the troops for battle whilst some hardcore euro techno was blasting away.
This is the stuff that makes games like this. Was the same for Arc Raiders. Proximity chat is just the best.

Yeah. For the many memorable scenarios like this, you do get some idiots that shouldn’t have access to proximity chat.

Came across somebody on the team that thought telling a couple of Jewish jokes would be funny.

Those have been rare for me though. The general vibe has been co-operative, helpful and generally good fun on the European servers I’ve joined.

We going to try and do it probably at the weekend. Peeps were joining then leaving
If you need another body to try get it going im in. Looked the weekend for the server after seeing it mentioned on here. But was 0 pop everytime I looked.
