what’s with the blue team, how does that even happen? :D
I think it's mostly a self-fulfilling prophecy at this point. That said, there are a couple of disadvantages Team Blue has to deal with : 1) the blue/tan camo is the most visible on the battlefield 2) On a couple of the maps, the blue team have poor starting positions with respect to terrain / natural defenses.

Both are easy enough to fix, the latter by randomising team starting positions.

I tried it for a couple of hours last night.
Seemed ok, but as a random, and noob, I found that almost no one communicated with me.
Requested my cash back from Steam, and went back the Hell Let Loose.

When I started the other day everyone was talking, helping with objectives etc then it slowly died down. Once youre in a squad people tend to talk more. I love getting a group that flags enemies and pushes together with tactics. I don't understand why the majority of people don't join squads and use local talk.

The armour levels are a bit silly, as a noob you can point blank shoot someone with a full clip and they can turn around and kill you if they have around level 3 armour. The other night I sneaked up behind a sniper after a 10minute hike and pointblank shot him in the back of the head with a sniper rifle, he got up turned around and killed me...

I've noticed people using cheats too, deffo wallhacks. I've seen one man armies mow down at team of 10+ with an ak or galil.

Teams need to be randomly assigned, everyone is stacking whatever colour they think is best or had won in the previous round.

Premade/saved loadouts are needed, the rebuy option isn't enough.

I had that a couple of times, maybe they were iron man suit or just noob guns I sported. Either way it needs adjusting I agree.

This I am in need of. I change between two kits depending if I am going recon or assault and the amount of times I rush to grab the chopper and forget something, I've ended up going to shoot someone and not having a mag in the gun a few times now  .

I would also benefit from this, I've jumped in a chopper in a rush without a parachute too many times :D

You improved at piloting then ? I need to spend some time practicing slowing down for landings, J hooks etc.
Controller + low sensitivity (to avoid constantly overcorrecting) really worked wonders for me. Landing is still a lil bit tricky if in a tight area but it pretty much just ‘clicked’. I do think M&K is the way to go if you can make that work. Maybe i’ll revisit that at some point.

Out of all the control options, using a controller feels the best to me. Haven't tried my HOTAS yet.

Yup, if I switch roles mid-game, I feel the HOTAS would just get in the way. A controller, on the other hand, doesn't take up much space on the desktop ( I use a G7 Pro which has its own dock ).
Exactly. I am all about just pick up and play. I already think to myself, I won't play flight sim today, because i cba to get my HOTAS out of the drawer. I fear peak laziness has been reached.

Ive spent about 6 hours in the firing range and many more ingame flying with Hotas, M&KB and controller and imho M&KB is the way to go.
I was looking forward to playing with HOTAS but i cant get it to feel anywhere near as good as id hoped.

liking this game, apart from no colourblind mode for tags, blue is fine for team and green (i think) for squad, but blue team is always pants. Red cant see any team mates tags at all , so just shoot everyone and wait for complaints. Green team, cant tell squad mates from team members easily. So at moment i never play as red

Just bought this but not played yet..
On the subject of vehicles, in games like bad company 2 I used to use mouse and keyboard, but I'd have my Xbox controller plugged in to, so I could grab it quickly when flying a chopper etc.

Best of both worlds!

I think they need to have a delay on the hot zone spawning. It doesn’t feel right that it’s there at the start.
