Tonight started much the same, getting rinsed and wasting cash, so I decided to spent 3/4 of a game going in with nothing but a parachute, waiting for team mates to clear an area and looting a kit from an enemy.

I'm going to try this tomorrow. A basic loadout for me with lvl 3 armour, a Galil (with just a scope), 10 bandages, etc is 10k. I can make a small profit on average but sometimes i'll just die 3 times in a row and lose like 20-25k in 10mins lol

I filter by lowest player count and join one with <80 players. It always puts me in a game just about to start. Works every time without fail.

My average kit is 20k as I always like to run a defib + grenades and extra loose ammo, and because of this I’ve just been hovering around $150k in the bank as I’ll usually break even most games.

The pauper build is quite fun, I was just reviving team mates using their own cast revives if they had them, the grabbing the first enemy kit and getting in the fight .

I've done that a few times, it's good fun and sometimes necessary lol

At the moment, yes, BF6 or CoD is a better fit for more casual play. But Wardogs is still in early access, and there will undoubtedly be numerous changes including how progression is handled. Everything is about to be reset in 2 weeks for the next major update.

I'd say no, the grind only stops you from buying the expensive equipment from the shop, not from using it, or getting it out of crates. I regularly loot better equipment from downed enemies and abandoned bags. I got tier 3 armour and a 50 cal sniper from doing this yesterday. I think you'll manage to have fun, for me it just hits different.

I think the system is working quite well for people who only get to play for a few hours.
So long as you temper your expectations there is fun to be had, for instance if I try to run and gun with the rest of them, then I'll be wasted and disheartened in no time.
I had 20 mins this morning, so I just drove supplies back and forth for a bit, other days I'll try to get a good spot on the enemy base. I may get more time later, and I might look at base building stuff.
Just do whatever takes your fancy, everything helps.

Despite my frustration this week, other posters are right, the best think about this is that if one play style is annoying you, there’s so many other styles to play.

When I get bored of running and gunning I usually go in relatively lightweight, SMG and defib, plenty of smokes and sit back and play the medic role.

There’s the helicopters to master, fob building, supply runs, annoying AA installations near an enemy spawn point, so so many possibilities!

Game has been a pain today. If I launch the game all is good, if I have the game running and I'm in Discord it sounds like I'm underwater the game sound is that bad. Had the same issue with BF6 last year, must be something with Discord i guess.

What a game yesterday. 15 of us just rotating / holding the yellow circle. Completely steamrolled blue and red. Kind of insane how geared most players are now.

Had this yesterday with 14 pals in team speak, we won two games in a row as blue with red/green getting under 20 points in both

You know how every time you say "just one more round" everything goes to ****? Yeah....

Bought a helicopter,.got shot down by my own teams tank (go blues!) Headed to the zone again, jumped out landed on top of the tower and boom shot gun to the back of the head from red.... it was our fob... headed back to zone again got shot down with 4 team mates outside of our safe zone by a spawn camping green..... decided to call it a night
