Wardogs

They’ve just an announced they’re removing IR rangefinders for the time being (batteries season 2) I’m level 35 recon and agree they’re very op.

The amount of matches now where one team gets Havoks and Littlebirds constantly in the air and none of the other squads tries to shoot them down. It's getting frustrating that so many don't seem interested in changing what they're doing depending on the battlefield situation.

Agree. The helicopter meta is very frustrating atm. I really hope they get nerfed in season 2, like all the other OP things which the developers have rightly responded to (Lvl 4 helmet and IR binocs). Add the Havoc to that and season 2 would be off to an amazing start. The rest of the issues are pretty minor by comparison imo.

Conversely I've been in games over the last few days where havoc's aren't viable due to the amount of air defences kicking about.
I'm enjoying the variability of the game, fingers crossed the devs keep a light hand on changing things other than cheats; those people deserve lifetime bans - "Claraaaa!".

I've been reading around and hearing people on Discord, twitch for an increase in HOTAS purchases. Which I thought was interesting.

I don't think the Havok /Rocketbird are overpowered as such or not too much anyway. And I've been killed a ton by them. It's just no one is countering it enough. Launcher ammo ends up being so heavy on top of normal kit, few people are bringing them as normal that I see. Trying to hit things with the cwis I don't find easy either with the bullet speed.

If anything I want the cwis nerfed so it can't aim downwards and limit the ammo. Possibly make it an auto system that tracks air, mortars and arty shells. Limit the ammo so you do need to keep up the ammo runs or can overwhelm it with indirect fire.

I do hope they allow us figure out how to allow mixed controls though, would love to fly with m&kb and pedals. Can't mix the inputs currently.

Had a game last night and it may as well have been a chopper simulator, there were nearly as many LB as infantry. Think they need to limit the number per team

I’m not sure a limit on the number of choppers would work, I suspect that section of the player base would just queue in the spawn area for the next free one.

Additionally, I’m quite enjoying trying to RPG them.

They've commented on this. The CEO said that's not the answer as it would then just turn into battlefield (which I agree with) and they don't want that. They want you to play the game however you want to and not limit things. I actually think that's what makes it a more enjoyable experience as no two games tend to be the same. One game is all out choppers the next is a mortar-off, then game after a tank decides it's going to run riot :D
