Wardogs

I started playing this yesterday and gotta admit I'm pretty impressed, particularly as it's early access.

First impressions are.... very pleased with how well it runs, running mostly at refresh (144fps) occasionally dropping down to 120ish, but not bad, puts PUBG to shame which is what, 8 years old now and runs worse.

I like the progression system, gives the game somewhat of a grind purpose, which I like, I like the way the economy system works as well.

In game comms just work, sound great as well with that imposed radio kinda muffled sound effect, love it.

If I had to criticise if say personally for me the graphics are lacking, they serve a purpose but for 2026 to me they look pretty basic.

Amd it does need a bit of touching up here and there, but gotta say good start, good timing as well as I was hitting a real dry spot with games.

One server was rife with cheats last night. I got headshot through the map 16 times in 2 seconds with the Galil at one point

They did eventually get banned before the match finished but it was too late to be able to change the outcome. Hopefully the AI they're using to help detect cheats is getting better for season 2.

Once the new season starts I'll likely only have a few games to see how well they've implemented the weather system, would love for it to add more mudrunner style terrain as the rain gets worse but doubt it'll be that advanced.

I do wonder how loud the rains going to be to for hiding footsteps etc.

Yea same actually.

Its got room for improvement, and massive potential as well.

I hope it gets popular so the devs get supported to keep working on it.

agree. i have not long started it, but have now learned most of how things work etc.. just in time for tomorrows launch.

The patch notes look extensive, but some things make me scratch my head.
Towards the end of S1 FOBs were rarely built, and they seem to have made it even more difficult for fobbits, and supply guys.
Also, the mortars view cam is still in game, I that should have been removed.
But it's all Early Access, so I guess they're still building datasets to see what works.

Yep, i've just read through the full patch notes (yes, I am that sad).

Building seems to be completed ****** now. I didn't build much before, but it is not worth it now at all. Logistic runs are nerfed hard as well.

Glad to see price increases for level 3 and 4 armour in addition to the level 4 helmet changes. Lots of prices changes more broadly across weapons, vehicles and attachments which I suspect may add up to something meaningful, too.

Really looking forward to the new season! First week or two should be mega at least :D

The new ping limit is a pain - was playing from Thailand on EU servers with friends, mostly building/mortaring so ping wasn’t too much of an issue, guess that’s not accessible anymore.

Will give it a go, but I’ll probably have to find an English speaking community server here instead :(

Oh, they have introduced changes already? I interpreted the Devs comment as something they are still working on.

I am selfishly very much in favour of strict ping limits. There are far too many russian and chinese players ruining European servers.
