Warhammer 40,000: SPACE MARINE 2

DG: Here was our reasoningbefore Patch 4.0: When the game came out in September, the Ruthless difficultywin rate hovered around 60%. Weeks later, and with the changes introduced byPatch 3.0, we saw that the same win rate had jumped to over 80%, and we receiveda lot of feedback stating that the game had become too easy—even at its maximumdifficulty (at the time).

Except only 15% of the player base had completed a mission on Ruthless. So the hardest core players were finding Ruthless not that hard, shocker.

The patch notes look to be pretty good overall, but their reasoning for ******* it up so badly in the first place was just bonkers. It's like they took the Helldiver 2 playbook and ran it step by step and shock, people didn't like it. Hopefully they have fixed it quickly enough to retain players and attract some new ones. I know I didn't touch it since the update.

Finally sat down to play this masterpiece... impressed!!! After a long wait due to moving and then some non-essential upgrading, 9800X3D/4080 Super etc... what a game! Decided to play Veteran difficulties, took me awhile to get into the groove, combos and all but liking it so far.

Honestly one of the most fun campaigns I’ve played in years, fully took me back to being in the mid 2000s where game campaigns were just 10-15 hours of pure fun, mayhem and barely any filler.

I'm still playing operations with my buddies, have a sniper, bulwark and tactical to level 25. Also completed all ops on lethal. Looking forward to the next content drop in a few weeks.

Use a weapon that is fencing. You can parry all melee attacks (expect orange circles), not just blue circles. You’ll learn when they come with enough time, they are pretty well telegraphed.

Yeah still playing with LiE, everything to 25 and working on my final weapon (heavy multimelta) to relic, its a horrible weapon, on a class that needs some love for sure!

@Mr G Melee is basically all about the timing, flow, and paying attention to the attack patterns. Start out with a fencing weapon as this gives you the best opportunity to react and then subsequently learn the attack patterns of the majoris.

Dont overlook the power of parrying the minoris either, you instantly get an armour pip back when you do this and its a solid way for clearing a little space so you can start a combo or throw out a few sweeps.

Dont use block weapons at all, they dont generate gun strikes which are super useful. There is a planned rework happening for block weapons, as yet details unknown.
